Claims
- 1. A system for fitness evaluation for use with a optimization method for automatic document assembly comprising:
a. means for capturing a document's creator's desire as a set of relative weights to be applied to an intent vector; b. means for calculating for each candidate document assembly a set of value-property functions that evaluate properties considered to be factors in a good design; c. means for determining an inferred intent vector for each candidate document assembly as a function of said calculated value-property; and d. means for generating a fitness measure by multiplying the components of said intent vector by said weights and summing.
- 2. A system as defined in claim 1 wherein, if the inferred intent vector is determined by a matrix multiplication applied to the vector of value property function results then the relative weights and intent definition matrix can be multiplied together to provide a weight vector that can be applied directly to the value properties.
- 3. A system as defined in claim 1 wherein said means for capturing comprises computer hardware and software resources and an application interface sufficient to capture said document creator's desire as a set of relative weights to be applied to said intent vector.
- 4. A system as defined in claim 1 wherein said means for calculating comprises computer hardware and software resources sufficient to calculate for each candidate document assembly a set of value-property functions that evaluate properties considered to be factors in a good design.
- 5. A system as defined in claim 1 wherein said means for determining comprises computer resources sufficient to determine an inferred intent vector for each candidate document assembly as a function of said calculated value-property.
- 6. A system as defined in claim 1 wherein said means for means for generating a fitness measure value comprises computer hardware and software resources sufficient to multiply the components of said intent vector by said weights and summing.
