Claims
- 1. A shoe making system, comprising:
- a) magnetic attaching means for temporarily attaching an inner sole to an associated shoe mold; said attaching means comprising first means disposed in a bottom portion of said shoe mold and second means associated with said inner sole; said first and second means being constructed to cause a magnetically attractive force between said first and second means during the process of joining said inner sole to a shoe upper; said first means extending substantially entirely over said bottom portion of said shoe mold;
- b) said inner sole comprising a major surface which is adjacent to said shoe mold during said process of joining said inner sole to a shoe upper; said inner sole further comprising:
- c) a first layer of flexible material extending substantially entirely over said major surface of said inner sole, and containing throughout its volume magnetic material that forms said second means, and
- d) a second layer of material on which said first layer is permanently attached;
- e) said inner sole being detachable from said shoe mold by ordinary manual force.
- 2. A shoe making system according to claim 1, wherein said first layer contains said magnetic material in substantially the same density throughout its volume.
- 3. A shoe making system according to claim 1, wherein the thickness of said first layer is no greater than about 2 millimeters.
- 4. A shoe making system according to claim 1, wherein the thickness of said first layer is substantially uniform.
- 5. A shoe making system according to claim 4, wherein said thickness is no greater than about 2 millimeters.
- 6. A shoe making system according to claim 1, wherein the magnetic flux of said first layer is between about 400 and 600 Gauss.
- 7. A shoe making system according to claim 1, wherein the weight of said first layer is no greater than about 30 grams.
- 8. A shoe making system according to claim 1, wherein said first means covers an entire bottom portion of said shoe mold.
- 9. A shoe making system according to claim 1, wherein said first means is disposed in a toe section and a heel section of said shoe mold.
- 10. A shoe making system according to claim 9, wherein said first means comprises a metal plate in said toe section and a metal plate in said heel section.
- 11. A shoe making system according to claim 1, wherein said first means comprises a metal plate covering an entire bottom portion of said shoe mold.
- 12. A shoe making system according to claim 1, wherein:
- (a) said first means comprises material with a magnetic absorption property; and
- (b) said second means comprises material with a magnetic attraction property.
