Claims
- 1.-15. (Cancelled)
- 16. A method of predicting a changeover time between the manufacture of two distinct products on an assembly line comprising the steps of:
1) preparing a chart associating the number of components to be changed in an assembly line between two products with a required changeover time; 2) identifying the number of components which must be changed between the two products; and 3) predicting the required changeover time based upon the chart.
- 17. The method as set forth in claim 16, wherein the preparation of the chart includes associating the number of feeder tables that need to be replaced, and the number of feeders to be replaced with a required changeover time.
- 18. The method as set forth in claim 16, wherein the step of preparing the chart includes preparing matrixes of common parts between the two products, and the number of different parts between the two products.
- 19. A chart associating the number of components to be changed in an assembly line with a required changing time comprising:
a chart having a reference area identifying a required number of components that must be changed between two products; and said chart associating said number of components with a predicted required changeover time.
- 20. The chart as set forth in claim 19, wherein the number of components are broken into the number of feeder tables and the number of feeders which need to be replaced.
