Claims
- 1. A method, comprising:selecting at least one arrhythmic episode from a plurality of arrhythmic episodes, the at least one arrhythmic episode having a plurality of complexes; determining a metric value for complexes of the plurality of complexes of the at least one arrhythmic episode; and plotting one or more symbols representing the complexes as a function of the metric values on a display screen.
- 2. The method of claim 1, where determining the metric values includes identifying a metric as a complex cycle length.
- 3. The method of claim 1, where determining the metric values includes identifying a metric as a duration of the arrhythmic episode.
- 4. The method of claim 1, where determining the metric value for the complexes includes comparing a morphology of each of the complexes with a morphology of a corresponding complex during normal rhythm.
- 5. The method of claim 1, where determining metric values includes:determining as the metric value a similarity value and a dissimilarity value for each complex of an arrhythmic episode with respect to normal sinus rhythm complexes; and plotting includes plotting one or more symbols representing the complexes as a function of the calculated similarity values and the dissimilarity values on the display screen.
- 6. The method of claim 1, where plotting includes plotting one symbol representative of the arrhythmic episode.
- 7. The method of claim 1, where determining metric values includes identifying a time and a date of the arrhythmic episode as a metric.
- 8. The method of claim 1, where determining metric values includes identifying a metric as a therapy type delivered to treat the arrhythmic episode.
- 9. The method of claim 1, where determining metric values includes identifying a metric as a type of arrhythmic episode.
- 10. The method of claim 1, where determining metric values includes identifying a metric as an on-set rate of the arrhythmic episode.
- 11. The method of claim 10, where identifying the metric includes identifying the metric as an atrial on-set rate of the arrhythmic episode.
- 12. The method of claim 10, where identifying the metric includes identifying the metric as a ventricle on-set rate of the arrhythmic episode.
- 13. The method of claim 1, where determining metric values includes identifying a metric as a cycle length stability of the arrhythmic episode, and recording the cycle length stability of the arrhythmic episodes for the metric values.
- 14. The method of claim 1, where determining metric values includes identifying a metric as pre-therapy and post-therapy atrial and ventricular rates for the arrhythmic episode.
- 15. The method of claim 1, including selecting a symbol representing at least one arrhythmic episode on the display screen, where the at least one arrhythmic episode includes one or more recorded electrogram channels;requesting one or more recorded electrocardiogram channels of the at least one arrhythmic episode through the display screen; and displaying the requested one or more recorded electrocardiogram channels of the arrhythmic episode on the display screen.
- 16. The method of claim 1, including selecting symbols representing at least one arrhythmic episode on the display screen;requesting information relating to a therapy regimen provided to treat the selected at least one arrhythmic episode on the display screen; and displaying an informational message on the display screen related to the therapy regimen provided to treat the selected at least one arrhythmic episode.
- 17. The method of claim 1, where determining metric values includes identifying a metric as therapy outcome for the arrhythmic episode.
- 18. The method of claim 1, where determining metric values includes identifying two or more metrics, and plotting includes plotting symbols as a function of the two or more metrics.
- 19. The method of claim 1, including changing a therapy to treat the at least one arrhythmic episode based on the plot of the one or more symbols.
- 20. The method of claim 1, including calculating metric values from complexes of one or more arrhythmic episodes; andgrouping the at least one symbol representing the one or more arrhythmic episodes within a defined boundary on the display screen.
- 21. The method of claim 20, where grouping includes drawing the defined boundaryaround the symbols on the display screen.
- 22. The method of claim 20, including determining a representative electrocardiogram signal for the one or more arrhythmic episodes present in the defined boundary; andretrievably storing the representative electrocardiogram signal.
- 23. The method of claim 22, including displaying one or more of the defined boundaries;selecting one or more of the defined boundaries; and displaying the representative electrocardiogram signal of the selected one or more defined boundaries on the display screen.
- 24. The method of claim 22, including calculating an average electrocardiogram signal for the representative electrocardiogram signal.
- 25. The method of claim 22, including calculating a median electrocardiogram signal for the representative electrocardiogram signal.
- 26. The method of claim 20, including retrievably storing therapy regimens delivered to treat the one or more arrhythmic episodes;retrievably storing a time at which each of the one or more arrhythmic episodes occurred; selecting at least one of the one or more arrhythmic episodes; and displaying an informational message related to the therapy regimen delivered to the selected one or more arrhythmic episodes.
- 27. The method of claim 20, where grouping includes programming a control circuit to determine the defined boundary on the display screen; andprogramming the control circuit to draw the defined boundary around the one or more symbols on the display screen.
- 28. The method of claim 20, including designating one or more of the defined boundaries as notice boundaries; andretrievably storing the positions of one or more notice boundaries.
- 29. The method of claim 20, including retrieving one or more of the defined notice boundaries;plotting one or more of the notice boundaries on the display screen; plotting the one or more symbols on the display screen; and displaying a notice on the display screen if at least one symbol is plotted within one or more of the notice boundaries on the display screen.
- 30. The method of claim 1, including storing complexes of the arrhythmic episode, and retrieving the complexes of the arrhythmic episode.
- 31. The method of claim 1, including printing information related to the at least one arrhythmic episode.
