- a cable guide adjustably mounted along the down hole boom;
- a first cable spooled on the first winch that can be driven into the access shaft over the cable guide which is fixed in position on the downhole boom to guide the cable into the host pipe;
- a host vehicle with a boom on the surface adjacent to a second access area to the host pipe a selected length from the first access shaft;
- a second winch on the end of the boom of the host vehicle, capable of movement from the surface to the host pipe through a second access area;
- a second cable spooled on the second winch that can be positioned by the boom and driven into the host pipe;
- a housing mounted to the end of the boom and surrounding the second winch that allows for free movement of the second cable into the host pipe; and
- the cables on the first and second winch capable of disengagable attachment to equipment used to rehabilitate host pipe.
- 2. A system for use in rehabilitating pipe of claim 1 additionally comprising
- a cleaning bucket sized to fit inside the host pipe having one open end and a flap door opposite to the open end so that the flap door opens when pulled in one direction and closes when pulled in the opposite direction; and
- attachment means on the cleaning bucket for cables of the first and second winches for dragging the cleaning bucket through the host pipe by the cables.
- 3. A system for use in rehabilitating pipe of claim 1 additionally comprising
- a test mandrel sized to fit inside the host pipe; and
- attachment means on the test mandrel for cables of the first and second winches for pulling the test mandrel through the host pipe by the cables.
- 4. A system for use in rehabilitating pipe of claim 1 additionally comprising a housing mounted on the down hole boom surrounding the first winch that allows free movement of the first cable.
- 5. A system for use in rehabilitating a pipe with a liner comprising
- a down hole boom with a winch affixed thereto that is inserted in a first access area which is an access shaft to a host pipe;
- a cable guide adjustably mounted on the winch that can be driven into the access shaft over the cable guide which is fixed in position on the down hole boom to guide the cable into the host pipe;
- a means for lowering a liner from the surface into a second access area to the host pipe a selected length from the first access shaft;
- a pulling mandrel sized to be received in the host pipe and contact the circumference of the liner; and
- releasable attachment means on the pulling mandrel for the cable whereby the pulling mandrel contacting the liner can be drawn through the host pipe as the cable is spooled on the winch.
