Claims
- 1. A method for presenting data relating to at least one individualized instructional program, the method comprising:
receiving filtering criteria; accessing at least one database relating to the at least one individualized instructional program; determining a start table and an end table in the at least one database; determining if the start table and the end table are related; if the start table and the end table are related, determining if the end table contains unprocessed items; if the end table does not contain unprocessed items, identifying data from the end table that meets the filtering criteria; and continuously adapting the filtering criteria to fit an adapting user profile.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein determining if the start table and the end table are related further comprises determining if the start table and the end table are closely related, and if so, designating a high value factor.
- 3. The method of claim 2, wherein if the start table and the end table are not closely related, determining if the start table and the end table are loosely related, and if so, designating a low value factor.
- 4. The method of claim 2, wherein if the end table contains unprocessed items:
selecting another item from the end table; adjusting the filtering criteria; determining if at least one preclusive condition has been met; and if at least one preclusive condition has been met, designating the item as not meeting the filtering criteria.
- 5. The method of claim 4, wherein if at least one preclusive condition has not been met, determining if a degree is higher than a specified threshold.
- 6. The method of claim 5, wherein if the degree is determined to be higher than the specified threshold, an item is considered to meet the filtering criteria.
- 7. The method of claim 5, wherein if the degree is not higher than the specified threshold, determining if there at least one table exists deeper in a history that has not been processed.
- 8. The method of claim 7, wherein if at least one table does not exist deeper in the history that has not been processed, the table is designated as not meeting the filtering criteria.
- 9. The method of claim 7, wherein if at least one table exists deeper in the history that has not been processed, the table is designated as a new start table.
- 10. A method for presenting data relating to at least one individualized instructional program, the method comprising:
receiving filtering criteria; accessing at least one database relating to the individualized instructional program; identifying data responsive to the filtering criteria; and continuously adapting the filtering criteria to fit an adapting user profile.
- 11. The method of claim 10, wherein at least one key personal attribute is discovered and added to the filtering criteria.
- 12. The method of claim 10, wherein the data comprises information from at least one of:
education; careers; and personal attributes.
- 13. The method of claim 10, further comprising a graphical user interface that adapts to a user profile.
- 14. The method of claim 10, further comprising extracting an accurate user profile by capturing at least one user reaction to at least one self-assessment instrument.
- 15. The method of claim 10, wherein the data responsive to the filtering criteria has been filtered across different types of data.
- 16. The method of claim 10, wherein the user profile is created by capturing and processing user reactions.
- 17. The method of claim 10, further comprising discovering intersections among at least two instruments and assigning meaning to the intersections.
- 18. The method of claim 10, wherein the at least one database is an updatable database.
- 19. The method of claim 10, wherein data in at least two databases is integrated into a database comprising a dynamic intersection of options.
- 20. The method of claim 10, wherein the individualized instruction program plan comprises information from more than one institution.
- 21. The method of claim 20, wherein the individualized instruction program comprises information available on the Internet.
- 22. The method of claim 10, wherein identifying data responsive to the filtering criteria comprises filtering the at least one repository of data using the filtering criteria.
- 23. The method of claim 22, wherein filtering the at least one repository of data comprises intra-module filtering.
- 24. The method of claim 22, wherein filtering the at least one repository of data comprises inter-module filtering.
- 25. A method for presenting data, the method comprising:
receiving past user profile information; organizing the past user profile information into at least one norm user profile database; and comparing current user profile information with information in the at least one norm user profile database; if the current user profile information meets criteria of at least one norm user profile, customizing display information on a user interface to match the at least one norm user profile; and if the current user profile information does not meet criteria of at least one norm user profile, customizing the display information to match the current user profile information.
- 26. The method of claim 25, wherein customizing the display information to match the current user profile information comprises a personal agent factor.
- 27. The method of claim 26, wherein the personal agent factor comprises:
organizing and reporting customized user profile information; and assigning display information to customized user profile information.
- 28. The method of claim 25, wherein the data is related to an individual instruction program.
- 29. A method for creating an accurate user profile, comprising:
capturing at least one user reaction to at least one self-concept instrument; classifying the at least one user reaction as at least one attribute; and assigning a decision option to the at least one attribute.
- 30. A system for presenting data relating to at least one individualized instructional program, the system comprising:
an interface for receiving filtering criteria; at least one database relating to the at least one individualized instructional program; a start table and an end table in the at least one database; a program for determining if the start table and the end table are related; if the start table and the end table are related, a program for determining if the end table contains unprocessed items; if the end table does not contain unprocessed items, a program for identifying data from the end table that meets the filtering criteria; and a program for continuously adapting the filtering criteria to fit an adapting user profile.
- 31. The system of claim 30, wherein the program for determining if the start table and the end table are related further comprises a program for determining if the start table and the end table are closely related, and if so, a program for designating a high value factor.
- 32. The system of claim 31, further comprising a program for determining if the start table and the end table are loosely related, and if so, a program for designating a low value factor.
- 33. The system of claim 32, further comprising a program for:
selecting another item from the end table; adjusting the filtering criteria; determining if at least one preclusive condition has been met; and if at least one preclusive condition has been met, designating the item as not meeting the filtering criteria.
- 34. The system of claim 33, further comprising a program for determining if a degree is higher than a specified threshold.
- 35. The system of claim 33, further comprising a program for determining if there at least one table exists deeper in history that has not been processed.
- 36. A system for presenting data relating to at least one individualized instructional program, the system comprising:
an interface for receiving filtering criteria; at least one repository of data relating to the individualized instructional program; and a program for identifying data responsive to the filtering criteria; a program for continuously adapting the filtering criteria to fit an adapting user profile.
- 37. The system claim 36, wherein at least one key personal attribute is discovered and added to the filtering criteria.
- 38. The system of claim 36, wherein the data comprises information from at least one of:
education; careers; and personal attributes.
- 39. The system of claim 36, further comprising an interface that adapts to a user profile.
- 40. The system of claim 36, further comprising a program for extracting an accurate user profile by capturing at least one user reaction to at least one question.
- 41. The system of claim 36, wherein the data responsive to the filtering criteria has been filtered across different types of data.
- 42. A system for presenting data, the method comprising:
a program for organizing past user profile information and storing it in at least one norm user profile information database; a program for comparing current user profile information with information in the at least one norm user profile database; and a program for determining if the current user profile information meets criteria of at least one norm user profile, and if so, customizing display information on a user interface to match the at least one norm user profile.
- 43. The system of claim 42, further comprising:
if the current user profile information does not meet criteria of at least one norm user profile, a program for customizing the display information to match the current user profile information.
- 44. A system for creating an accurate user profile, comprising:
a user interface for capturing at least one user reaction to at least one self-concept instrument; a program for classifying the at least one user reaction as at least one attribute; and a program for assigning a decision option to the at least one attribute.
