The disclosure relates to cleaning brushes and more particularly pertains to a new cleaning brush for cleaning hard to reach surfaces. The present invention discloses a cleaning brush having a T-shaped brush head for cleaning hard to reach surfaces.
The prior art relates to cleaning brushes, which may comprise cleaning brushes having L-shaped brush heads, manually rotatable brush heads, tapered brush heads, brush heads extending bidirectionally from handles, and cuboid brush heads. What is lacking in the prior art is a cleaning brush having a T-shaped brush head.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a brush head, which in turn comprises a housing and a plurality of bristles. The bristles are attached to and extend from the housing. A first set of the bristles and a second set of the bristles are positioned proximate to a first end and a second end of the housing, respectively. The first set of the bristles is volumetrically larger than the second set of the bristles so that the brush head is substantially T-shaped. A handle is attached to and extends from the second end of the housing. The handle is configured to be grasped in a hand of a user, positioning the user to manipulate the brush head to clean a surface.
Another embodiment of the disclosure includes a method comprising a provision step, wherein a T-shaped brush head assembly, as described above, is provided. Additional steps include grasping of the handle in a hand of a user, and manipulating the brush head on a surface to that the bristles clean the surface.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
The first set 18 of the bristles 16 and the second set 20 of the bristles 16 each have a cross-sectional profile 28, which can be substantially rectangular, substantially square, as shown in
With the cross-sectional profiles 28 of the first set 18 of the bristles 16 and the second set 20 of the bristles 16 being either substantially rectangular or substantially square, each bristle 16 has a respective length 30 so that the plurality of bristles 16 comprises bristles 16 having a variety of lengths 30. Respective bristles 16 may be positioned on the housing 14 such that edges 32 of the first set 18 of the bristles 16 and the second set 20 of the bristles 16 are rounded, as is shown in
As shown in
The handle 26 may comprise elastomer so that the handle 26 is resiliently flexible, which is advantageous in cleaning some hard to reach surfaces. The present invention also anticipates the handle 26 being substantially rigid.
The handle 26 may comprise a first section 34 and a second section 36, with the first section 34 extending substantially linearly from the second end 24 of the housing 14 and the second section 36 extending angularly from the first section 34. The handle 26 thus is bent, which facilitates reaching some hard to reach surfaces. The present invention also anticipates the handle 26 being linear. The second section 36 comprises a conical segment 38, which is distal from the first section 34 and which is configured to deter slippage of the hand of the user from the handle 26.
In use, the T-shaped brush head 12 assembly 10 enables a method of cleaning a surface 40. The method comprises a provision step 42, which entails providing a T-shaped brush head assembly 10 according to the specification above. A first operational step 44 of the method 40 is grasping the handle 26 in a hand of a user. A second operational step 46 of the method 40 is manipulating the brush head 12 on a surface such that the bristles 16 clean the surface, such as a toilet, as shown in
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
