The invention relates to takedown structures and more particularly to a takedown structure for a 3×3 grid game.
A conventional structure for a 3×3 grid game is disadvantageous because it is not capable of being taken apart. Its storage or transport is difficult.
Thus, the need for improvement still exists.
It is therefore one object of the invention to provide a takedown structure comprising a plurality of tubular frame members having a rectangular cross-section, each tubular frame member including two grooves on top and bottom surfaces respectively; a plurality of different fitting members, each fitting member including a parallelepiped body and a plurality of arms, each arm including an axial hole and a plurality of main sections, each main section having a tapered portion wherein each arm is configured to frictionally dispose in an end of the frame member; and a plurality of rectangular boards, each rectangular board including two projections on top and bottom edges respectively, each projection being configured to complimentarily dispose in the groove, and a digit formed on an outer surface of the rectangular board.
The above and other objects, features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken with the accompanying drawings.
Referring to
A plurality of vertical and horizontal tubular frame members 10 having a square cross-section are shown. Each frame member 10 includes two elongated grooves 11 on top and bottom surfaces respectively.
A plurality of (five) different fitting members 20 are provided (see
A plurality of square boards 30 having two elongated projections 31 on top and bottom edges respectively are provided. The projection 31 is complimentarily disposed in the groove 11 to fasten the frame member 10 and the square board 30 together. A digit (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9) is formed on an outer surface of the square board 30.
Preferably, the frame members 10 are made of aluminum or plastic.
Preferably, the fitting members 20 are made of aluminum or plastic.
A first embodiment of the fitting member 20 is shaped as cross (see
A second embodiment of the fitting member 20 is shaped as T (see top right of
A third embodiment of the fitting member 20 is shaped as “7” (see
Advantageously, the assembly or disassembly of the invention can be done easily without tools. Further, its storage space is greatly decreased for ease of storage or transport after being taken apart.
An individual may throw a ball 40 toward one of the square boards 30 when playing a 3×3 grid game (see
While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modifications within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
