Claims
- 1. A tape loading device for wrapping a tape around a rotary drum to a given degree of angle, comprising:
- a) at least one guide post arranged to move in a direction along the rotary drum for wrapping the tape around the rotary drum to the given degree of angle, each guide post being erected on a movable member; and
- b) a first rail defining member for defining edge parts of a first rail slot which is arranged to guide a guide post, a first joint formed by said first rail defining member and a second joint formed across the first rail slot being disposed apart from each other at a distance which exceeds the length of the movable member moving in the first rail slot in the longitudinal direction of the first rail slot;
- c) a second rail defining member for defining edge parts of a second rail slot which is arranged to guide a guide post, a third joint formed by said second rail defining member and a fourth joint formed across the second rail slot being disposed apart from each other at a distance which exceeds the length of the movable member moving in the second rail slot in the longitudinal direction of the second rail slot.
- 2. A device according to claim 1, wherein each said guide post is rotatable.
- 3. A device according to claim 1, wherein a stepped level difference is provided at a joint in the direction in which a force acting on a guide post is exerted.
- 4. A device according to claim 3, wherein said force acting on a guide post is exerted in the direction of an inner side of a rail slot relative to said drum in loading the tape and in the direction of an outer side of the rail slot relative to said drum in unloading the tape.
- 5. A device according to claim 3, wherein said force acting on a guide post is exerted in the direction of an outer side of a rail slot relative to said drum in loading the tape and in the direction of an inner side of the rail slot relative to the drum in unloading the tape.
- 6. A device according to claim 1, wherein said rotary drum is provided with information converting means and is arranged to record or reproduce information on or from the tape.
- 7. A device according to claim 6, wherein said tape is a magnetic tape.
- 8. A device according to claim 7, wherein said information converting means is a magnetic head.
- 9. A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for recording or reproducing information on or from a tape-shaped recording medium by wrapping the tape-shaped recording medium around a rotary drum which is provided with at least a head, comprising:
- a) a chassis;
- b) a drum base secured to said chassis and arranged to carry the rotary drum;
- c) at least one guide post arranged to move in a direction along the rotary drum for wrapping the tape-shaped recording medium to a given degree of angle around the rotary drum, each guide post being erected on a movable member;
- d) a first rail defining member disposed adjacent to said drum base and arranged to define, in conjunction with said drum base, edge parts of a first rail slot which is arranged to guide a guide post, a first joint formed between said rail defining member and said drum base and a second joint formed across said first rail slot being disposed apart from each other at a distance which exceeds the length of the movable member moving in the first rail slot in the longitudinal direction of the first rail slot; and
- e) a second rail defining member disposed adjacent to said drum base and arranged to define, in conjunction with said drum base, edge parts of a second rail slot which is arranged to guide a guide post, a third joint formed between said second rail defining member and said drum base and a fourth joint formed across said second rail slot being disposed apart from each other at a distance which exceeds the length of the movable member moving in the second rail slot in the longitudinal direction of the second rail slot.
- 10. An apparatus according to claim 9, wherein each said guide post is rotatable.
- 11. An apparatus according to claim 9, wherein a joint formed between said drum base and a rail defining member is provided with a stepped level difference corresponding to the direction in which a force acting on a guide post is exerted.
- 12. An apparatus according to claim 11, wherein said force acting on a guide post is exerted in the direction of the inner side of a rail slot relative to said rotary drum in loading the tape-shaped recording medium and in the direction of the outer side of the rail slot relative to said rotary drum in unloading the tape-shaped recording medium.
- 13. An apparatus according to claim 11, wherein said force acting on a guide post is exerted in the direction of the outer side of a rail slot relative to said rotary drum in loading the tape-shaped recording medium and in the direction of the inner side of the rail slot relative to said rotary drum in unloading the tape-shaped recording medium.
- 14. An apparatus according to claim 9, wherein a rail defining member is formed by molding.
- 15. An apparatus according to claim 9, wherein a rail slot is composed of a slot formed by a rail defining member, a slot formed by said drum base and a slot formed jointly by a rail defining member and said drum base.
- 16. An apparatus according to claim 15, wherein the slot width of the slot formed jointly by a rail defining member and said drum base is wider than that of the slot formed by the rail defining member and that of the slot formed by said drum base.
