Claims
- 1. A disposable absorbent article comprising:
- a topsheet;
- a backsheet joined with said topsheet;
- an absorbent core disposed between said topsheet and said backsheet; and
- a two-piece tape tab comprising:
- a backing substrate having a first surface, a second surface, a first edge and a second edge;
- a pressure-sensitive adhesive disposed on said first surface of said backing substrate adjacent said first edge;
- a construction adhesive disposed on said first surface of said backing substrate spaced inwardly from said second edge of said backing substrate a distance about 0.5 mm, said construction adhesive joining said backing substrate with said backsheet;
- a release substrate having a release surface, an adhesive surface, a first end and a second end; and
- a permanent adhesive disposed between said adhesive surface of said release substrate and said topsheet, said permanent adhesive joining said release substrate to said topsheet.
- 2. The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 wherein said pressure-sensitive adhesive is spaced inwardly from said first edge of said backing substrate a distance greater than or equal to about 0.5 mm.
- 3. The disposable absorbent article of claim 2 wherein said permanent adhesive is disposed inwardly from said first end of said release substrate a distance greater than or equal to about 0.5 mm.
- 4. The disposable absorbent article of claim 3 wherein said permanent adhesive is disposed inwardly from said second end of said release substrate a distance of greater than or equal to about 0.5 mm.
- 5. The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 wherein said release surface comprises a release agent selected from the group consisting of silicone, wax, polyurethane or clay.
- 6. The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 wherein said release surface comprises at least a portion of said release substrate impregnated with a release agent.
- 7. The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 wherein said release surface comprises embossing.
- 8. The disposable absorbent article of claim 1 wherein said release surface comprises at least a portion of said release substrate having an area of differing molecular structure capable of acting as a release surface.
- 9. A disposable absorbent article comprising:
- a topsheet;
- a backsheet joined with said topsheet;
- an absorbent core disposed between said topsheet and said backsheet; and
- a two-piece tape tab comprising:
- a backing substrate having a first surface, a second surface, a first edge and a second edge;
- a pressure-sensitive adhesive disposed on said first surface of said backing substrate adjacent said first edge;
- a construction adhesive disposed on said first surface of said backing substrate spaced inwardly from said second edge of said backing substrate a distance about 0.5 mm, said construction adhesive being separated from said pressure-sensitive adhesive a distance greater than or equal to about 0.5 mm, said construction adhesive joining said backing substrate with said backsheet;
- a release substrate having a release surface, an adhesive surface, a first end and a second end; and
- a permanent adhesive disposed between said adhesive surface of said release substrate and said topsheet, said permanent adhesive joining said release substrate to said topsheet.
- 10. The disposable absorbent article of claim 9 wherein said pressure-sensitive adhesive is spaced inwardly from said first edge of said backing substrate a distance greater than or equal to about 0.5 min.
- 11. The disposable absorbent article of claim 10 wherein said permanent adhesive is disposed inwardly from said first end of said release substrate a distance greater than or equal to about 0.5 mm.
- 12. The disposable absorbent article of claim 11 wherein said permanent adhesive is disposed inwardly from said second end of said release substrate a distance of greater than or equal to about 0.5 mm.
