The present invention relates to a telescopic paper hold for improved access to a roll of paper.
It is common within bathrooms and kitchens to have a cylindrical member protrude through a roll of paper for unraveling of the paper off the roll. Often this is in the form of a two-sided mounting bracket having a cylindrical member positioned therebetween. The two-sided mounting bracket keeps the roll of toilet paper from falling off the holder during turning of the roll and unraveling of the toilet paper. Common mounting positions for toilet paper holders include on the side of a toilet or behind a toilet. Common mounting positions for paper towel holders in kitchens include on countertops or under cabinets. These mounting positions often require the user to twist or extending and can be extremely hard to reach. Other solutions include toilet paper holders that may be free-standing and are positioned to hold a roll of toilet paper in any location on the floor desired by the user. Issues arise when the toilet paper roll or the paper towel roll is hard to reach or too far away. Additionally, often free-standing toilet paper holders take up unnecessary room. A better solution is needed for holding and positioning a roll of paper in a way that is more convenient and accessible by the user.
The following presents a simplified summary of some embodiments of the invention in order to provide a basic understanding of the invention. This summary is not an extensive overview of the invention. It is not intended to identify key/critical elements of the invention or to delineate the scope of the invention. Its sole purpose is to present some embodiments of the invention in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.
It is an objective of the present invention is to provide configurable positioning of a paper roll that is convenient and accessible by the user. Another objective of the present invention is to save space within a desired by the user. An objective of the present invention is to provide configurable positioning of a paper roll that is convenient and accessible by the user. It is another object of the present invention to provide a simple product with minimal parts that can be manufactured easily and not be subject to failure over time, i.e. an inexpensive dependable product.
In order to do so a telescopic paper holder is provided having a base member with a mounting plate for the mounting of the telescopic paper holder to a wall, floor or other article. On the opposing side of the telescopic paper holder, a primary holder having a proximal end and a distal end is designed to be positioned within a center of a roll of paper during use. Between the primary holder and the mounting plate, at least one telescopic member is positioned.
During operation, a user may extend or collapse the at least one telescopic member to move the primary holder relative to the mounting plate.
In another aspect of the invention, a telescopic paper holder is present having a base member that has a mounting plate. Next, a primary holder having a proximal end and a distal end. For linear movement or the paper roll, at least one telescopic member is positioned between the base member and the primary holder. In an exemplary first mode of operation a user may extend or collapse the at least one telescopic member to move the primary holder relative to the mounting plate. Other embodiments allow the user to selectively remove a cap of the primary holder for loading and unloading of a toilet paper roll upon the primary holder.

Additional features of the invention will be described hereinafter which form the subject of the claims of the invention. It should be appreciated by those skilled in the art that the conception and the disclosed specific methods and structures may be readily utilized as a basis for modifying or designing other structures for carrying out the same purposes of the present disclosure. It should be realized by those skilled in the art that such equivalent structures do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
The detailed description of some embodiments of the invention is made below with reference to the accompanying figures, wherein like numerals represent corresponding parts of the figures.
The novel features of the disclosure are set forth with particularity in the appended claims. A better understanding of the features and advantages of the present disclosure will be obtained by reference to the following detailed description that sets forth illustrative embodiments, in which the principles of the disclosure are utilized, and the accompanying drawings of which:
While preferred embodiments of the present disclosure have been shown and described herein, it will be obvious to those skilled in the art that such embodiments are provided by way of example only. Numerous variations, changes, and substitutions will now occur to those skilled in the art without departing from the disclosure. It should be understood that various alternatives to the embodiments of the disclosure described herein may be employed in practicing the disclosure.
It is to be understood that the terminology used herein is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting. The terms “a” or “an,” as used herein, are defined as to mean “at least one”. The term “plurality,” as used herein, is defined as two or more. The term “another,” as used herein, is defined as at least a second or more. The terms “including” and/or “having,” as used herein, are defined as comprising (i.e., open language). The term “coupled,” as used herein, is defined as connected, although not necessarily directly, not necessarily mechanically, and not permanent. The term “providing” is defined herein in its broadest sense, e.g., bringing/coming into physical existence, making available, and/or supplying to someone or something, in whole or in multiple parts at once or over a period of time. As used herein, the terms “about” or “approximately” apply to all numeric values, whether or not explicitly indicated. These terms generally refer to a range of numbers that one of skill in the art would consider equivalent to the recited values (i.e., having the same function or result). In many instances these terms may include numbers that are rounded to the nearest significant figure. As used in this application, the term “substantially” means that the actual value is within about 10% of the actual desired value, particularly within about 5% of the actual desired value and especially within about 1% of the actual desired value of any variable, element or limit set forth herein.
Referring now to
During operation, a user may extend or collapse the one telescopic member 120 by manually moving the primary holder relative to the mounting plate. In other embodiments, other methods of linear movement may be positioned between the base member 115 and the primary holder 110 such as a pulley, a worm drive, a rotary motor, a toothed belt, a lead screws, a ball screws, a linear motors and the like to move the at least one telescopic member.
As shown in
As shown in
As shown in
In some embodiments, the primary holder 110, the base member 105, and/or the telescopic member 120 may further comprise at least one member of an attachment set consisting of: a magnet, a clip, a slide-fit, a clamp, a spring, a fastener, a spring, an elastic member, and an adhesive. In some embodiments, the telescopic paper holder 100 may require external texture to grip the hand of the user. In exemplary embodiments, the external texture further comprises at least one member of a texture set consisting of: indentations, sandpaper, extrusions, knurling, a rough surface, bumps or any combination thereof.
In some embodiments, the telescopic paper holder 100 or any individual component of the invention is made from at least one member of a material set consisting of: metal, rubber, plastic, a wood, foam, and fabric. In some embodiments, it may be desirable that the telescopic paper holder further comprises at least one member of an identification set consisting of: an alphanumeric identification, the user's name, a symbolic shape, a company brand, a numeric identification number, a QR code, a barcode, an RFID tag, or any combination thereof. For example, the at least one telescopic member may be numbered in order of assembly.
