Claims
- 1. A transition metal complex of a compound represented by the formula:
- Te[(CH.sub.2).sub.n SiRR'R"].sub.2
- wherein:
- n is an integer from 1 to 10 and
- R, R' and R" are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl and aryl.
- 2. A transition metal complex according to claim 1 wherein said transition metal is selected from the group consisting of silver, copper, palladium, manganese and cobalt.
- 3. A complex represented by the formulae:
- CuX{Te[(CH.sub.2).sub.n SiRR'R"].sub.2 }.sub.m
- or
- PdX.sub.2 {Te[(CH.sub.2).sub.n SiRR'R"].sub.2 }.sub.2
- wherein:
- X is halogen or pseudohalogen;
- m is an integer from 1 to 3;
- n is an integer from 1 to 10; and
- R, R' and R" are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl and aryl.
- 4. A complex according to claim 3 wherein n is an integer from 1 to 4.
- 5. A complex according to claim 4 wherein at least two of R, R' and R" are lower alkyl.
- 6. A complex according to claim 4 wherein n is 1 and R, R' and R" are methyl.
- 7. A complex selected from the group consisting of:
- PdCl.sub.2 {Te--CH.sub.2 Si(CH.sub.3).sub.3 ].sub.2 }.sub.2,
- Pd(SCN).sub.2 {Te--CH.sub.2 Si(CH.sub.3).sub.3 ].sub.2 }.sub.2,
- PdCl.sub.2 {Te--CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 Si(CH.sub.3).sub.3 ].sub.2 }.sub.2 and
- CuBr{Te--CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 Si(CH.sub.3).sub.3 ].sub.2 }.sub.2.
