Claims
- 1. A terminal board assembly for a dynamoelectric machine comprising:
- a body formed of a dielectric material and including a pair of generally opposite faces thereon;
- at least a pair of spaced apart bosses on said body extending from one of said opposite faces thereof, respectively;
- a pair of terminals secured to said body at least generally adjacent said bosses and including a pair of deformed portions arranged at least in part in overlaying relation with said bosses, respectively, and at least one of said terminals having an electrical connector section extending beyond the other of said opposite faces on said body;
- terminal means for securement to said body and including a contact section disposed generally in overlaying relation with said one opposite face on said body and arranged generally in spaced apart relation with said at least one terminal, and another electrical connector section on said terminal means extending beyond said other opposite face on said body;
- a contact on said contact section of said terminal means;
- a generally elongate resilient switch element having a pair of opposite ends, one of said opposite ends being connected in electrical conductive engagement with said deformed portion of said at least one terminal, and the other of said opposite ends being biased toward said contact on said contact section of said terminal means;
- another contact on said switch element at least generally adjacent said other opposite end thereof and arranged to make with and break from said first named contact;
- an actuating lever including a pair of generally opposite trunnions pivotally received between said bosses and at least said deformed portions of said at least one terminal and the other of said terminals, respectively, and extension means on said actuating lever for engagement with said switch element at least generally adjacent said other opposite end thereof; and
- resilient means biased between said body and said actuating lever for pivotally urging said actuating lever about its trunnions toward a position engaging said extension means with said switch element at least generally adjacent said other opposite end thereof to break said another contact from said first named contact.
- 2. A terminal board assembly for a dynamoelectric motor comprising:
- a body having a pair of generally opposite faces thereon;
- a set of spaced apart bosses on said body extending from one of said opposite faces thereof;
- a set of terminal means for securement to said body and each including a deformed section associated at least in part in overlaying relation with at least one of said bosses, respectively;
- means secured in electrical conductive relation to said deformed section of one of said terminal means and movable for switching between a set of switching modes;
- means secured to said body for electrical contacting engagement with said switching means in one of the switching modes thereof;
- an actuating lever pivotally movable on said body and including a pair of generally opposite trunnions pivotally arranged between at least some of said bosses and at least said deformed portions of said terminal means, respectively, and extension means on said actuating lever for engagement with said switching means; and
- resilient means biased between said body and said actuating lever for pivotally moving said actuating lever about said opposite trunnions thereof to engage said extension means with said switching means and move said switching means toward another of the switching modes thereof.
- 3. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 2 further comprising means secured to said body for engagement with said actuating means to limit the pivotal movement of said actuating means in response to said resilient means acting thereon.
- 4. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 2 further comprising a pair of spaced apart means on said body and extending from said one opposite face for guiding said actuating lever upon the pivotal movement thereof, respectively.
- 5. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 2 further comprising another switching means secured in electrical conductive relation to said deformed section of another of said terminal means and movable for switching between a set of switching modes.
- 6. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 5 further comprising another means secured to said body for electrical contacting engagement with said another switching means in one of the switching modes thereof.
- 7. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 6 wherein said actuating lever further includes another extension means for engagement with said another switching means to disengage it from said another engagement means and move said another switching means toward another of the switching modes thereof in response to the pivotal movement of said actuating lever by said resilient means.
- 8. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 7 further comprising means secured to said body for engagement with said another switching means in its another switching mode and for limiting the pivotal movement of said actuating lever in response to said resilient means acting thereon.
- 9. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 7 further comprising a pair of means secured to said body for engagement with said first named and another switching means in the another switching modes thereof and for limiting the pivotal movement of said actuating lever in response to said resilient means acting thereon, respectively.
- 10. A terminal board assembly for a dynamoelectric machine comprising:
- a body;
- actuating means for pivotal movement with respect to said body between a pair of pivotal positions and including a pair of generally opposite trunnions;
- resilient means for exerting a compressive force on said actuating means to urge said actuating means toward one of the pivotal positions thereof; and
- means for capturing said opposite trunnions of said actuating means to retain it against displacement from said body, said capturing means comprising a set of means extending in spaced apart relation from said body for supporting in part said opposite trunnions, and a set of terminal means for securement to said body at least generally adjacent said supporting means and each of said terminal means including a deformed end section spaced from said body and extending into overlaying relation with at least one of said supporting means, and said opposite trunnions being disposed between said supporting means and said terminal means and urged toward pivotal seating engagement with said deformed end sections of said terminal means in response to the compressive force of said resilient means exerted on said actuating means, respectively.
- 11. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 10 further comprising means secured to said body and engaged with said actuating means for defining the one pivotal position thereof.
- 12. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 10 further comprising means conductively secured to one of said terminal means and operable generally for switching between a set of switching modes, said actuating means being engaged with said switching means to effect the operation of said switching means into one of the switching modes thereof upon the pivotal movement of said actuating means toward its one pivotal position.
- 13. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 12 further comprising another switching means conductively secured to another of said terminal means and operable, generally for switching between a set of switching modes, said actuating means also being engaged with said another switching means to effect the operation of said another switching means into one of the switching modes thereof upon the pivotal movement of said actuating means toward its one pivotal position.
- 14. A terminal board assembly for a dynamoelectric machine comprising:
- a body including a pair of generally opposite faces;
- at least one terminal means for securement to said body and including an electrical connector section extending beyond one of said opposite faces of said body, and a deformed end section on said at least one terminal means generally opposite said electrical connector section thereof and arranged generally in spaced apart- relation with the other of said opposite faces of said body; and
- means conductively secured to said deformed end section of said at least one terminal means and extending therefrom generally in overlaying spaced apart relation with said other opposite face of said body for switching between a set of switching modes.
- 15. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 14 further comprising actuating means associated with said body for pivotal movement between a pair of pivotal positions, said actuating means being engaged with said switching means to effect the operation of said switching means into one of its switching modes upon the pivotal movement of said actuating means toward one of the pivotal positions thereof.
- 16. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 14 further comprising another terminal means for securement to said body generally in aligned spaced apart relation with said at least one terminal means and including another electrical connector section extending beyond said one opposite face of said body, and another deformed end section on said another terminal means generally opposite said another electrical connector section thereof and extending from said another terminal means generally in spaced apart relation with said other opposite face of said body.
- 17. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 16 further comprising another switching means conductively secured to said another deformed end section of said another terminal means and extending generally therefrom both in overlaying spaced apart relation with said other opposite face of said body and in parallel spaced relation with said first named switching means for switching between a set of switching modes.
- 18. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 17 further comprising actuating means associated with said body for pivotal movement between a pair of pivotal positions, said actuating means being engaged with said first named and another switching means to effect the generally conjoint operation of said first named and another switching means into respective ones of the switching modes thereof upon the pivotal movement of said actuating means toward one of the pivotal positions thereof.
- 19. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 15 further comprising resilient means interposed between said other face of said body and said actuating means for exerting a compressive force onto said actuating means to pivotally move said actuating means toward its one pivotal position.
- 20. A terminal board assembly for a dynamoelectric machine comprising:
- a body;
- a set of spaced apart bosses on said body;
- a set of terminal means for respective securement to said body at least generally adjacent said bosses and each including a deformed end section associated at least in part in overlaying relation with at least one of said bosses;
- means secured to one of said terminal means and operable generally for switching between a set of switching modes; and
- means pivotally operable for actuating said switching means into one of the switching modes thereof, said actuating means including a set o generally opposite trunnions pivotally received between at least adjacent ones of said bosses and at least said deformed end sections of said terminal means, respectively.
- 21. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 20 further comprising means secured to said body and engaged with said actuating means for limiting the pivotal operation thereof upon the actuation of said switching means toward the one conductive mode thereof.
- 22. A terminal board as set forth in claim 20 further comprising another switching means secured to another of said terminal means and operale generally for switching between a set of switching modes, said another switching means being actuated into one of the switching modes thereof by said actuating least generally conjointly with the actuation of said first named switching means into its one switching mode by said actuating means.
- 23. A terminal board assembly as set forth in claim 20 further comprising resilient means for opposing the pivotal operation of said actuating means.
