Claims
- 1. A method of treating Parkinson's Syndrome which consists of administering to a human suffering from Parkinson's Syndrome and in need of such treatment, a dose of a compound of the formula: ##STR10## wherein R.sup.1 is H or R.sup.2 and R.sup.2 is allyl, methyl, ethyl or n-propyl or a pharmaceutically-acceptable acid addition-salt thereof effective to alleviate some or all of the manifestations of Parkinson's Syndrome.
- 2. A method of inhibiting the secretion of prolactin in a mammal which consists of administering to a mammal having a condition in which there is an excess of prolactin being secreted, an effective prolactin secrection inhibiting dose of a compound of the formula: ##STR11## in which R.sup.1 is H or R.sup.2 and R.sup.2 is allyl, methyl, ethyl or n-propyl or a pharmaceutically-acceptable acid-addition salt thereof.
- 3. A pharmaceutical composition in unit dosage form adapted for administration to achieve a prolactin inhibiting effect comprising per dosage unit a pharmaceutically-acceptable carrier admixed with an amount of a compound of the formula: ##STR12## wherein R.sup.1 is H or R.sup.2 is allyl, methyl, ethyl or n-propyl or a pharmaceutically-acceptable acid-addition salt thereof sufficient to inhibit the secretion of prolactin.
