Claims
- 1. A mixture of compounds defined by the structure: ##STR83## wherein one of the dashed lines is a carbon-carbon double bond, and each of the other of the dashed lines is a carbon-carbon single bond, said mixture consisting essentially of compounds having the structures: ##STR84##
- 2. A product produced by the process of cyclizing the acetyl conjugated cyclohexadiene having the structure: ##STR85## by means of heating said acetyl conjugated cyclohexadiene with a mixture consisting of an acid selected from the group consisting of phosphoric acid, dilute sulfuric acid, borontrifluoride and boron-trifluoride etherate; and a solvent at a temperature in the range of from 70.degree. up to 100.degree. C, the reaction mass containing from 25 up to 50 weight percent of solvent.
