1. Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to textured structure, texturing method, and electronic devices with textured structures.
2. Description of Related Art
Exterior surface of the housing of electronic devices usually define a textured structure for aesthetics and sometimes for strength. Often more than one pattern of textured structure are implemented. However, different textured structures are always formed at the same time by molding, and anomalous features, such as burrs and bleeding lines, are easily formed.
Therefore, there is room for improvement in the art.
Many aspects of the embodiments can be better understood with references to the following drawings. The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the embodiments. Moreover, in the drawings, like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the three views.
The disclosure is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation in the figures of the accompanying drawings in which like references indicate similar elements. It should be noted that references to “an” or “one” embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean at least one.

The first textured surface 10 is different from the second textured surface 20. The size of the first textured surface 10 is larger than that of the second textured surface 20. The height H from the first textured surface 10 to the main body 30 is greater than the height L from the second textured surface 20 to the main body 30 (namely, the recessed height of the first textured surface 10 from the front surface 210 is less than that of the second textured surface 20). The difference between the height H and the height L is between 0 and 0.1 (mm). In the embodiment, the first textured surface 10 recesses to define the second textured surface 20, the first textured surface 10 surrounds the second textured surface 20, and the difference between the height H and the height L is 0.05 (mm). In other embodiments, a part of the second textured surface 20 is recessed from and is surrounded by the first textured surface 10. As the second textured surface 20 is recessed from the first textured surface 10, the height H of the first textured surface 10 relative to the main body 30 is greater than the height L of the second textured surface 20 relative to the main body 30. Thus, when the textured structure 100 is partially textured to define the first and second textured surfaces 10, 20, anomalous features, such as burrs and bleeding lines are avoided.

In step S301, the front surface 210 of the electronic device 100 is provided to be textured.
In step S302, the front surface 210 of the electronic device 100 is partially textured to define the first textured surface 10.
In step S303, the first textured surface 10 is further partially textured to define the second textured surface 20, whereby the textured structure 100 is formed. The second textured surface 20 is surrounded or is partially surrounded by the first textured surface 10, the size of the second textured surface 20 is less than that of the first textured surface 10, and the recessed depth of the second textured surface is greater than that of the first textured surface 10.
By virtue of the textured structure 100 and the texturing method, when the electronic device 200 is partially textured to define the textured portions, anomalous features, such as burrs and bleeding lines, can be avoided or minimized.
It is to be understood, even though information and advantages of the present embodiments have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structures and functions of the present embodiments, the disclosure is illustrative only; and that changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the present embodiments to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
