Abstract

Resealable, ice cube and liquid fillable, microwaveable portable pillow that has a single cavity, which is created by sealing together the edges of two separate pieces of laminated fabric material that are identical, including size and shape. The pillow has a resealable closure, or valve that is large enough to accommodate ice cubes, as well as to facilitate the ease of filling he pillow by means of opening the closure, or valve and submerging into water. The resealable closure, or valve is permanently attached to the surface of one side of material by a specific manufacturing process and, can be opened or closed by pulling the cap from the valve thus allowing the pillow to be filled and or emptied of ice and liquid. The resealable closure or valve also has the ability to allow steam to be released while the liquid is being heated through the use of a microwave oven. The specific laminated fabric gives this pillow increased durability thus allowing the pillow to be filled with hot or cold liquids.

Description

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

[0001] This invention, as described and in the form expressed by this specification, consists of a resealable ice and liquid fillable, microwaveable, portable pillow. The primary aims of which are the benefits provided for by the reduction of an individual's body temperature, the resealability of the closure, which is also large enough to facilitate ice cubes being inserted into the valve opening and the ability to submerge the pillow into water, thus allowing it to be filled, as well as the therapeutic qualities derived from the design and nature of the pillow, which allows it to be filled with liquid and heated through the use of a microwave oven. It stands out due to the qualities of specific laminated fabric material, that gives this unique pillow exceptional durability from the extreme hot and cold temperatures created by, ice cubes and liquid being inserted into the pillow, as well as the microwaveability of this pillow.

[0002] Given the special and unique characteristics of the pillow, which arise due to the nature of its design, material, and structure, it provides an enhanced experience while relaxing at the beach, lake, swimming pool, and spa, as well as camping etc. By providing a means by which an individual can access the natural resources of water, which are available to the user of the pillow and fill it up by this simple process of removing the cap from the valve then submerging the pillow in the body of water i.e., ocean, lake, swimming pool, pond, and streams etc, thus providing a cool and comfortable pillow. However, it should not be overlooked that this uniquely designed and constructed pillows characteristics include the benefits derived by the use of a superior laminated fabric material, which provides durability from the extreme hot and cold temperatures created by filling the pillow with ice and/or cold water, as well as from being heated through the use of a microwave oven. A final point should also be considered which is the manufacturing process, in particular the specific way that the closure/valve is installed to the pillow, without which the pillow could not be made without incurring additional cost to produce such a pillow.

THE BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

[0011] This was invented due to the fact that a proper means of supporting the head and neck during rest is crucial to the well being of individuals throughout the world, especially when conditions we sometimes find ourselves in might be extremely adverse to providing this basic necessity, and for the therapeutic qualities derived from the ability of this product to provide hot or cold temperature and conform to the anatomical part of the body to which it is applied.

THE DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0012] The ability to attain the above mentioned objectives in a economically satisfactory manner, the resealable, ice and liquid fillable, microwaveable, portable pillow has been constructed according to the specific aims of the invention, and is designed to fully solve these concerns, situations, and problems in a fully satisfactory, totally new and innovative way. This provides a structure that is currently unavailable on the market. More specifically, the resealable, liquid tillable, microwaveable, portable pillow consists one body, with a single cavity for holding the liquid, which is duly stabilized to ensure prolonged leakproofness.

[0013] The materials employed are to be sufficiently consistent (impermeable) to hold the liquid, plus sufficiently flexible to be able to offer adaptation, durability and comfort in usage. This invention may be of any composition or nature, on condition that they comply with the aforesaid requisites.

[0014] As a complementary feature, an additional chamber will be available for affixing to the underside of the pillow, thereby allowing users the ability to fill with water and or ice as they wish this solution being activated manually.

THE PREFERENTIAL EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0017] It may be observed in appendix A that the resealable, microwaveable, ice and liquid fillable, portable pillow consists of a single container, which may be completely or partially cubic, parallelepiped, cylindrical, ellipsoid, toric, etc. in aspect and form, with a single cavity that has a single purpose of ensuring the use of being able to fill the pillow or otherwise the level of liquid of the same by means of manually opening the valve in the form of a safety cap or closures, located near the edge on one side of the container. All of which is constructed of a flexible and dense material to ensure that it is completely leak proof, as well as able to withstand hot and cold liquids and rough surfaces.

Although the materials, shape, size, and arrangement of the different elements are liable to variation, on the condition that such alteration does not give rise to any change in the essential nature of the invention. EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION

Claims

1. A resealable, mirowaveable, ice and liquid fillable, portable pillow having an oval shape with a slightly curved-convex faces and curved edges, said pillow compromising: A single container, with a single cavity that has a dual purpose of ensuring the use of being able by means of manually opening the valve in the form of a safety cap or closure, thus allowing ice and liquid to enter and exit the pillow, as well as steam escaping while liquid is heated through the use of a microwave oven.

2. Closure/Valve installation process achieved by a unique procedure that requires the valve to be applied to the surface of a pillow after an appropriately sized hole is removed from the material, thus creating a hole in the surface of the material. After this is achieved and the valve has been adhered to a separate piece of material. The valve is now ready to be received into the original hole created in the surface of the material and sealed. Accordingly, the afore mentioned characteristics, qualities and claims forming a single whole and giving the object of the invention as its result.
