Claims
- 1. A temperature control device comprising:
a conductive ink; and a power source connected to the conductive ink to supply power for heating the conductive ink.
- 2. The temperature control device of claim 1, where the conductive ink attaches to a substrate for heating the substrate.
- 3. A method of heating a body, the method comprising the steps of:
applying a conductive ink to a substrate; and supplying electrical current to the conductive ink.
- 4. The temperature control device of claim 3, where the substrate comprises glass.
- 5. The temperature control device of claim 3, where the substrate comprises a mirror.
- 6. The temperature control device of claim 3, where the substrate comprises a window.
- 7. A temperature control device comprising:
a heater element, the heater element comprising a conductive ink and a substrate; said conductive ink being affixed to said substrate; and a power source connected to the conductive ink to supply power to said conductive ink.
- 8. The device according to claim 7 wherein the substrate comprises Mylar film.
- 9. The device according to claim 7 or claim 8 wherein the conductive ink comprises FD 3500 CL UV curable conductive ink.
- 10. The device according to claim 7 wherein the conductive ink being affixed to the substrate by coating the substrate with conductive ink and curing, setting and hardening the conductive ink by ultraviolet light.
- 11. The device according to claim 7 further comprising a blanket, and the heater element being secured to the blanket.
- 12. The device according to claim 7 further comprising an article of clothing, and the heater element being secured to the article of clothing.
- 13. The device according to claim 12, wherein the article of clothing comprises non-flammable fabric.
- 14. The device according to claim 7 further comprising a pouch, the pouch having a first side and a second side; the heater element being removably insertable between the first side and second side of the pouch.
- 15. The device according to claim 14 further comprising a blanket, the pouch being removably secured to said blanket.
- 16. The device according to claim 14, wherein the pouch comprises Liquiflex® 50C-104 protective packaging film.
- 17. The device according to claim 7, further comprising a temperature controller having a thermistor and a temperature connector; the thermistor attaching to the heater element; the temperature connector connecting to the conductive ink; and the temperature controller connecting to the power source to regulate the temperature of the heater element.
- 18. The device according to claim 17 wherein the substrate comprises Mylar film.
- 19. The device according to claim 17 or claim 18 wherein the conductive ink comprises FD 3500 CL UV curable conductive ink.
- 20. The device according to claim 17 wherein the conductive ink being affixed to the substrate by coating the substrate with conductive ink and curing, setting and hardening the conductive ink by ultraviolet light.
- 21. The device according to claim 17 further comprising a pouch, the pouch having a first side and a second side; the heater element being removably insertable between the first side and second side of the pouch.
- 22. The device according to claim 21 further comprising a blanket, the pouch being removably secured to said blanket.
- 23. The device according to claim 21, wherein the pouch comprises Liquiflex® 50C-104 protective packaging film.
- 24. The device according to claim 11, further comprising a temperature controller having a thermistor and a temperature connector, the thermistor attaching to the heater element; the temperature connector connecting to the heater element; and the temperature controller connecting to the power source to regulate the temperature of the blanket.
- 25. The device according to claim 24 wherein the substrate comprises Mylar film.
- 26. The device according to claim 24 or claim 25 wherein the conductive ink comprises FD 3500 CL UV curable conductive ink.
- 27. The device according to claim 24 wherein the conductive ink being affixed to the substrate by coating the substrate with conductive ink and curing, setting and hardening the conductive ink by ultraviolet light.
- 28. The device according to claim 14 further comprising a blanket, the pouch being removably secured to the blanket, a temperature controller having a thermistor and a temperature connector; the thermistor attaching to the heater element; the temperature connector connecting to the heater element; and the temperature controller connecting to the power source to regulate the temperature of the blanket.
- 29. The device according to claim 28, wherein the pouch comprises Liquiflex® 50C-104 protective packaging film.
- 30. The device according to claim 12, further comprising a temperature controller having a thermistor and a temperature connector; the thermistor attaching to the heater element; the temperature connector connecting to the heater element; and the temperature controller connecting to the power source to regulate the temperature of the article of clothing.
- 31. The device according to claim 30, wherein the article of clothing comprises non-flammable fabric.
- 32. The device according to claim 30 wherein the substrate comprises Mylar film.
- 33. The device according to claim 31 or claim 32 wherein the conductive ink comprises FD 3500 CL UV curable conductive ink.
- 34. The device according to claim 30 wherein the conductive ink being affixed to the substrate by coating the substrate with conductive ink and curing, setting and hardening the conductive ink by ultraviolet light.
- 35. The device according to claim 14 further comprising an article of clothing, the pouch being removably secured to the article of clothing, a temperature controller having a thermistor and a temperature connector; the thermistor attaching to the heater element; the temperature connector connecting to the heater element; and the temperature controller connecting to the power source to regulate the temperature of the temperature of the article of clothing.
- 36. The device according to claim 35, wherein the pouch comprises Liquiflex® 50C 104 protective packaging film.
- 37. The device according to claim 35, wherein the article of clothing comprises non-flammable fabric.
- 38. A temperature control device comprising:
a blanket, said blanket comprising non-woven polypropylene fabric, said blanket having a pocket; a heater element, the heater element comprising a conductive ink and a substrate; said substrate comprising Mylar film; said conductive ink comprising FD 3500 CL UV curable conductive ink; said conductive ink being affixed to the substrate by coating the substrate with conductive ink and curing, setting and hardening the conductive ink by ultraviolet light; a pouch, said pouch comprising Liquiflex® 50C-104 protective packaging film, the pouch having a first side and a second side, the heater element being removably insertable between the first side and second side of the pouch; said pouch being insertable into the pocket; a temperature connector, said temperature connector attaching to the conductive ink; a temperature controller attaching to the temperature connector; and a power source connected to the conductive ink to supply power for heating the conductive ink, said temperature controller attaching to the power source for regulating the amount of power supplied to the conductive ink.
- 39. A temperature control device comprising:
an article of clothing, said article of clothing comprising non-flammable fabric, said article of clothing having a pocket; a heater element, the heater element comprising a conductive ink and a substrate; said substrate comprising Mylar film; said conductive ink comprises FD 3500 CL UV curable conductive ink; said conductive ink being affixed to the substrate by coating the substrate with conductive ink and curing, setting and hardening the conductive ink by ultraviolet light; a pouch, the pouch comprising Liquiflex® 50C-104 protective packaging film, the pouch having a first side and a second side; the heater element being removably insertable between the first side and second side of the pouch; said pouch being insertable into the pocket; a temperature connector, said temperature connector attaching to the heater element; a temperature controller attaching to the temperature connector; and a power source connected to the conductive ink to supply power for heating the conductive ink, said temperature controller attaching to the power source for regulating the amount of power supplied to the conductive ink.
