Claims
- 1. A refrigeration appliance, comprising:
a thermally insulating housing; a thermally insulating door; and at least one of said housing and said door defining an evacuated interspace and having:
an evacuated thermal insulation filling said interspace; a shaped, thermoplastic, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable outer cladding; a shaped, thermoplastic, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable inner cladding; and said inner cladding and said outer cladding substantially surrounding said interspace in a substantially vacuum-tight manner.
- 2. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 1, wherein at least one of said inner cladding and said outer cladding is formed from at least one of the group consisting of polyolefins, polyvinylidene chloride, and perfluoroalkoxy polymers.
- 3. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 1, wherein at least one of said inner cladding and said outer cladding substantially reduces gas permeability and is formed from at least one of the group consisting of ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer, polyacrylonitrile, and polyamide.
- 4. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 1, wherein:
said outer cladding has a co-extruded, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable layer; and said inner cladding has a co-extruded, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable layer.
- 5. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 4, wherein at least one of said layer of said inner cladding and said layer of said outer cladding substantially reduces water vapor permeability and is formed from at least one of the group consisting of polyolefins, polyvinylidene chloride, and perfluoroalkoxy polymers.
- 6. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 4, wherein at least one of said layer of said inner cladding and said layer of said outer cladding substantially reduces gas permeability and is formed from at least one of the group consisting of ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer, polyacrylonitrile, and polyamide.
- 7. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 1, wherein:
said outer cladding has a laminated, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable layer; and said inner cladding has a laminated, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable layer.
- 8. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 7, wherein at least one of said layer of said inner cladding and said layer of said outer cladding substantially reduces water vapor permeability and is formed from at least one of the group consisting of polyolefins, polyvinylidene chloride, and perfluoroalkoxy polymers.
- 9. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 7, wherein at least one of said layer of said inner cladding and said layer of said outer cladding substantially reduces gas permeability and is formed from at least one of the group consisting of ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer, polyacrylonitrile, and polyamide.
- 10. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 1, wherein at least one of said inner cladding and said outer cladding includes a sputtered metal layer for substantially reducing gas and water vapor impermeability.
- 11. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 1, wherein at least one of said inner cladding and said outer cladding includes a plastic/metal composite foil for substantially reducing gas and water vapor impermeability.
- 12. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 1, wherein at least one of said inner cladding and said outer cladding are formed from one of a thermoformed plastic and a blow-molded plastic.
- 13. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 1, wherein at least one of said inner cladding and said outer cladding have a material thickness of between 0.5 mm and 2.5 mm.
- 14. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 1, wherein said insulation has plate-like bodies.
- 15. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 14, wherein said plate-like bodies are pressed silica.
- 16. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 15, wherein said plate-like bodies have a density of between 100 kg/m3 and 200 kg/m3.
- 17. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 14, wherein said plate-like bodies are pressed aerogels.
- 18. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 17, wherein said plate-like bodies have a density of between 100 kg/m3 and 150 kg/m3.
- 19. The refrigeration appliance according to claim 14, wherein said plate-like bodies are open-cell, foamed thermal insulation material.
- 21. A housing for a refrigeration appliance, comprising:
a shaped, thermoplastic, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable outer cladding; a shaped, thermoplastic, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable inner cladding; said inner cladding and said outer cladding forming a substantially vacuum-tight manner interspace therebetween; and an evacuated thermal insulation filling said interspace.
- 22. A door for a refrigeration appliance, comprising:
a shaped, thermoplastic, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable outer cladding; a shaped, thermoplastic, substantially gas and water vapor impermeable inner cladding; said inner cladding and said outer cladding forming a substantially vacuum-tight manner interspace therebetween; and an evacuated thermal insulation filling said interspace.
