Claims
- 1. A heterocyclic compound represented by the following formula (I) ##STR118## or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; wherein R.sup.1 represents a lower alkanoyl group; R.sup.2 represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group; A represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkylene group; Y represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; ##STR119## represents a ring selected from the group consisting of a 1,3-thiazole ring, a 2,3-dihydro-1,3-thiazole ring, a 4,5-dihydro-1,3-thiazole ring, a benzothiazole ring, an isothiazole ring, and an imidazole ring, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group, a group shown by the formula --A.sub.1 --R.sub.6, (wherein A.sub.1 represents a C--.sup.1 --C.sup.6 alkylene group and R6 represents a hydroxy group), a hydroxy group, an oxo group, an amino group, a group shown by the formula --NH--CO--R.sup.9 (wherein R.sup.9 represents a carboxy C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkoxycarbonyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkoxy benzyloxy carbonyl --C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group) or a carboxy group; however, when ##STR120## is a heterocyclic ring fused with a benzene ring, Y is bonded to the heterocyclic ring.
- 2. The heterocyclic compound or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as claimed in claim 1, wherein Y is sulfur and R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5, which may be the same or different, each is a hydrogen atom, a group shown by the formula --A.sup.1 --R.sup.6 (wherein, R.sup.6 is a hydroxy group), a hydroxy group, an amino group, or a group shown by the formula --NH--CO--R.sup.9 (wherein R.sup.9 represents a carboxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkoxylbenzyloxy carbonyl C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group).
- 3. The heterocyclic compound of claim 1 which is 2-Hydroxy-3-propyl-4-[3-[(2-thiazolin-2-yl)thio]propoxy]acetophenone.
- 4. The heterocyclic compound of claim 1 which is 4-[3-(2-Benzothiazolylthio)-propoxy]-2-hydroxy-3-propylacetophenone.
- 5. The heterocyclic compound of claim 1 which is 4-[3-[(6-Aminobenzothiazol-2-yl)thio]propoxy]-2-hydroxy-3-propylacetophenone.
- 6. The heterocyclic compound of claim 1 which is 5-[[3-(4-acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propylphenoxy)propyl]thio]-3-hydroxy-4-isothiazole carboxylic acid.
- 7. The heterocyclic compound of claim 1 which is p-Methoxybenzyl 3-[[2-[[3-(4-acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propylphenoxy)propyl]-thio]benzothiazol-6-yl]amino]-3-oxopropionate.
- 8. The heterocyclic compound of claim 1 which is 3-[[2-[[3-(4-Acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propylphenoxy)propyl]thio]benzothiazol-6-yl]amino]-3-oxopropionic acid.
- 9. A pharmaceutical composition useful as an antagonist of slow reacting substance of anaphylaxis (SRS-A) and containing as an individual adult dose amount, from 0.1 to 500 mg.k of the heterocyclic compound of claim 1.
- 10. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 wherein the heterocyclic compound is 2-Hydroxy-3-propyl-4-[3-[(2-thiazolin-2-yl(thio]propoxy]acetophenone.
- 11. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 wherein the heterocyclic compound is 4-[3-(2-Benzothiazolylthio)-propoxy]-2-hydroxy-3-propylacetophenone.
- 12. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 wherein the heterocyclic compound is 4-[3-[(6-Aminobenzothiazol-2-yl)thio]propoxy]-2-hydroxy-3-propylacetophenone.
- 13. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 wherein the heterocyclic compound is 5-[[3-(4-acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propylphenoxy)propyl]thio]-3-hydroxy-4-isothiazole carboxylic acid.
- 14. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 wherein the heterocyclic compound is p-Methoxybenzyl 3-[[2-[[3-(4-acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propylphenoxy)propyl]-thio]benzothiazol-6-yl]amino]-3-oxopropionate.
- 15. The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 wherein the heterocyclic compound is 3-[[2-[[3-(4-Acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propylphenoxy)propyl]thio]benzo-thiazol-6-yl]amino]-3-oxopropionic acid.
