Claims
- 1. A multi-adjustable gas intake assembly for a gas burner element which can provide connection between varying position of gas controls and gas burners including both vertical and horizontal adjustment comprising:
- a first tubular gas conveying member defining a combined flexible and threaded portion;
- a second tubular gas conveying member defining a combined flexible and threaded portion, said flexible and threaded portions of said first and second tubular members constructed and arranged to threadably engage each other, at least one of said first and second tubular members being freely movable in a threaded manner with respect to the other and vertically and horizontally adjustable;
- air regulator and gas supply inlet means on one of said tubular members
- said air regulator and gas supply inlet means including an opening into said tubular member to effect mixing of gas and air;
- and
- means operatively associated with the other of said tubular members for connection with a gas burner element.
- 2. A multi-adjustable gas intake assembly for a gas grill burner element which can provide connection between varying positions of gas controls and gas burners including both vertical and horizontal adjustment comprising:
- a first tubular gas conveying member defining a combined flexible and threaded portion;
- air regulator means on said first tubular member;
- an opening defined by said first tubular member to receive a gas supply means,
- said air regulator means and said gas supply means and said opening effect the mixing of gas and air;
- a second tubular gas conveying member defining a combined flexible and threaded portion, said flexible and threaded portions of said first and second tubular members constructed and arranged to threadably engage each other, at least one of said first and second tubular members being freely movable in a threaded manner with respect to the other and vertically and horizontally adjustable;
- and
- means operatively associated with said second tubular member for connection with a gas burner element.
- 3. The multi-adjustable gas intake assembly as defined in claim 2 wherein said air regulator is defined by a lateral aperture extending through said first tubular portion and an air regulator member slidably received by said tubular portion to controllably cover said lateral aperture.
- 4. The multi-adjustable gas intake assembly as defined in claim 3 wherein said air regulator member includes an opening for receiving said gas supply means.
- 5. The multi-adjustable gas intake assembly as defined in claim 2 wherein threaded portion extends substantially the entire length of said first and second tubular portions except for a section accommodating said air regulator means.
- 6. The multi-adjustable gas intake assembly as defined in claim 2 wherein said first and second tubular members are comprised of a flexible heat resistant material.
- 7. The multi-adjustable gas intake assembly as defined in claim 6 wherein said threadably engageable portions include helical threads having a multiplicity of convolutions per inch.
- 8. The multi-adjustable gas intake assembly as defined in claim 2 wherein at least one additional first and second tubular member are present to provide a dual unit joined by a common bracket member.
- 9. A multi-adjustable gas grill burner assembly which can provide connection between varying positions of gas controls and gas burners including both vertical and horizontal adjustment comprising:
- a first tubular gas conveying member defining a smooth wall surface;
- an air regulator means on said first tubular member;
- an opening defined by said first tubular member to receive a gas supply means
- said air regulator means, said gas supply means and said opening effect the mixing of gas and air;
- a second tubular gas conveying member defining a combined flexible and threaded portion;
- a third tubular gas conveying member having a flexible section, said flexible and threaded portions of said second and third tubular members constructed and arranged to threadably engage each other, at least one of said second and third tubular members being freely movable in a threaded manner with respect to the other and vertically and horizontally adjustable;
- said first tubular member adapted to be slidably received within one of said second or third tubular members; and
- means operatively associated with one of said other second or third tubular members for connection with a gas burner element.
- 10. The multi-adjustable gas intake assembly as defined in claim 9 wherein at least one additional first and second tubular member are present to provide a dual unit joined by a common bracket member.
- 11. An improved gas burner assembly or a gas barbecue grill having a floor to support a burner element which can provide connection between varying positions of gas controls and gas burners including both vertical and horizontal adjustment comprising:
- a burner element;
- a first tubular gas conveying member defining a combined flexible and threaded portion;
- a second tubular gas conveying member defining a combined flexible and threaded portion, said flexible and threaded portions of said first and second tubular members constructed and arranged to threadably engage each other, at least one of said first and second tubular members being freely movable in a threaded manner with respect to the other and vertically and horizontally adjustable;
- air regulator and gas supply inlet means on one of said tubular members said air regulator and gas supply inlet means including an opening into said tubular member to effect mixing of gas and air;
- and
- means operatively associated with the other of said tubular members for connection with said burner element.
- 12. The improved gas burner assembly of claim 11 further including leg members extending from said burner element for contact with said barbecue grill floor.
- 13. The improved gas burner assembly of claim 11 wherein said burner element is constructed to be placed in a grill unit of a post type.
- 14. The improved gas burner assembly of claim 11 wherein said burner element is constructed to be placed in a grill unit of a front control type.
