Abstract
Disclosed are a tie support and a tie having the tie support. The tie support is suitable not only for a tie having a string type necklace part, but also for a tie having a slider fastener type necklace part. The tie support has a body and a cover. The body includes a support member having an inverted triangular shape, in which a Y-shaped passage is formed in the body about the support member so that both ends of the necklace part are collected at a lower portion of the Y-shaped passage. The cover is coupled with the insertion bar such that the cover is mounted on the support member. Outer contour sections of the cover closely engage with sidewalls of the Y-shaped passage and a bottom surface of the fixing plate, so that the Y-shaped passage is covered with the cover.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention


The present invention relates to a tie. More particularly, the present invention relates to a tie support and a tie having the tie support, in which the tie support is suitable not only for a tie having a string type necklace part, but also for a tie having a slider fastener type necklace part and allows a user to easily tie or untie the tie.


2. Description of the Prior Art


As generally known in the art, persons use a tie when wearing a formal suit. At this time, the person may adjust the length of the tie after wearing the tie around the neck of the person under a collar of a shirt.


A normal tie includes a necklace part to be disposed around the neck when a user wears the tie, a tail part extending from the necklace part by a predetermined length, and a knot part formed between the necklace part and the tail part so as to allow the wearer to adjust the length of the tail part.


Accordingly, when a user wants to wear a tie, the user first puts the necklace part around the neck of the user and then makes the knot part by knotting the tie through various ways generally known in the art. The remaining part of the tie, which extends downward from the knot part, is referred to as the tail part.


At this time, the user adjusts the length of the tail part such that the tail part has a proper length. However, in practice, it is difficult to precisely adjust the length of the tail part at a time, so the user must tie and untie the tie several times in order to adjust the length of the tail part.


This may cause inconvenience, especially, when the user is in a hurry to go to the office or workplace in the morning time.


In order to solve the above problem, Korean Utility Model Registration No. 20-350916 discloses a tie support capable of easily adjusting the length of a necklace part of a tie. As shown in FIG. 6, the tie support disclosed in Korean Utility Model Registration No. 20-350916 includes a base 206, a central protrusion 205 provided at the lower center of an inner bottom wall of the base 206, and a coupler 204 coupled with the central protrusion 205 in a state in which a necklace part 203 of a tie is placed adjacent to both sides of the central protrusion 205. The coupler 204 coupled with the central protrusion 205 provides a passage that allows the necklace part 203 to move up and down in the passage. At this time, the coupler 204 and the central protrusion 205 press the necklace part 204 provided in the passage, so that a predetermined pressure is applied to the necklace part 203 when the necklace part 203 moves up and down through the passage. Thus, when the user wears the tie, a knot part of the tie can be securely maintained in a fixed position without using an auxiliary tool, such as a spring. Therefore, the user can conveniently wear the tie for a long period of time without causing damage to the tie.


However, according to the above conventional tie support, since the coupler coupled with the central protrusion presses the string-type necklace part, if the coupler is coupled with the central protrusion with a great coupling force, the necklace part may not easily move up and down. In this state, if the user forcibly moves the necklace part by applying great force to the necklace part, the coupler may be separated from the central protrusion. In contrast, if the coupling force between the coupler and the central protrusion becomes weakened, the necklace part cannot be securely maintained in the fixed position, causing the tie to be loosened.


In addition, since the necklace part is pressed at a position where the coupler coupled with the central protrusion, the necklace part may be separated from the passage if the coupling force between the coupler and the central protrusion becomes weakened.


Furthermore, the above conventional tie support is not suitable for a necklace part having a slider fastener.


In addition, in a state in which the user wears the conventional tie, if the tail part of the tie is pulled down due to external force applied to the tail part, the user may be chocked by the conventional tie, which is very dangerous.


SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art, and a first object of the present invention is to provide a tie support and a tie having the tie support, capable of allowing a string type necklace part of the tie to move up and down through a passage without pressing the string type necklace part of the tie while preventing the tie from being loosened.


A second object of the present invention is to provide a tie support and a tie having the tie support, capable of allowing a string type necklace part of the tie to be stably installed in the tie support.


A third object of the present invention is to provide a tie support and a tie having the tie support, in which the tie support is suitable not only for a tie having a string type necklace part, but also a tie having a fastner type necklace part.


A fourth object of the present invention is to provide a tie, which may not chock a neck of a user even if a tail part of the tie is pulled down due to external force applied to the tail part.


In order to accomplish the above objects, according to the present invention, there is provided a tie support capable of adjusting a size of a necklace part of a tie, in which the necklace part has a predetermined length and both ends of which are inserted into the tie support, the tie support comprising: a body including a support member having an inverted triangular shape, in which a Y-shaped passage having an upper portion opened with a predetermined width is formed in the body about the support member in such a manner that both ends of the necklace part inserted into the Y-shaped passage are collected at a lower portion of the Y-shaped passage; and a cover coupled with the body so as to restrain the necklace part.


According to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention, when the necklace part is a string type necklace part, the cover includes: a cover plate, which is coupled with the insertion bar so as to be mounted on the support member and contour sections of which closely engage with sidewalls of the Y-shaped passage as well as a bottom surface of the fixing plate so as to cover the Y-shaped passage; and a plurality of projection bars, which extend from a front surface of the cover plate toward a bottom surface of the V-shaped passage formed at both sides of the support member, in which the projection bars are spaced apart from each other in such a manner that the necklace part, which passes through the Y-shaped passage, makes contact with the projection bars in a zigzag manner.


Preferably, three projection bars are installed at both sides of the Y-shaped passage, respectively.


A guide member can be vertically formed at an inner sidewall of the Y-shaped passage adjacent to the fixing plate in order to allow the cover plate to be stably and fixedly coupled with the body of the tie support.


If the necklace part is a fastener type necklace part, the cover includes: a cover plate, which is coupled with the insertion bar so as to be mounted on the support member and closely engages with an inner portion of the fixing plate so as to cover the Y-shaped passage; and a boss, which is coupled with the insertion bar and protrudes from a front surface of the cover plate by a predetermined length such that a pull-tab of a slider is locked with the insertion bar.


The body of the tie support is fabricated through an injection molding process by using a plastic material.


The present invention provides a tie having the tie support. That is, the tie includes a tie support coupled with a necklace part; a knot part having an inverted triangular shape corresponding to a shape of the tie support and including an upper opening section to receive the tie support and a lower opening section for allowing the necklace part that has come into a lower portion of the Y-shaped passage to extend downward by passing through the lower opening section; and a tail part integrally formed with the upper opening section of the knot part and extending downward by passing through the lower opening section of the knot part, thereby surrounding the tie support accommodated in the knot part. A fastening member is attached to a middle portion of the necklace part positioned above the tail part.


The fastening member includes buttons or Velcro fastener.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described with reference to accompanying drawings.


Embodiment 1


FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view illustrating a tie support 40 according to a first embodiment of the present invention, in which a necklace part 10 of a tie is coupled with the tie support 40.


Referring to FIG. 1, both end portions of the necklace part 10 having a predetermined length are inserted into the tie support 40 according to the first embodiment of the present invention, so that a user can adjust the size (inner diameter) of the necklace part 10. The tie support 40 includes a body 50 and a cover 60.


The body 50 is provided at an inner portion thereof with a support member 51 having an inverted triangular shape so that a Y-shaped passage 52 is formed in the body 50 about the support member 51. Thus, both end portions of the necklace part 10, which have been inserted into the tie support 40, are collected at the lower portion of the Y-shaped passage 52. An insertion bar 55 having a predetermined length is provided on a bottom wall of the body 50 below the support member 51. In addition, a fixing plate 56 is provided at an upper portion of the support member 51 in such a manner that the fixing plate 56 protrudes from the bottom wall of the body 50 beyond the support member 51.


The cover 60 is coupled with the insertion bar 55 such that the cover 60 can be mounted on the support member 51. Outer contour sections of the cover 60 closely engage with sidewalls of the Y-shaped passage 52 as well as a bottom surface of the fixing plate 56, so that the Y-shaped passage 52 is covered with the cover 60. Accordingly, the necklace part 10 which moves along the Y-shaped passage 52 is temporarily restrained by means of the cover 60.


Preferably, the body 50 is fabricated by using a plastic material having predetermined elasticity in such a manner that the cover 60 can be closely and fixedly coupled with the body 50 of the tie support 40. For instance, the body 50 is fabricated through an injection molding process.


The necklace part 10 can be prepared in the form of a closed loop or an opened loop having end portions separated from each other. The Y-shaped passage 52 is divided into a V-shaped passage 53 and an I-shaped passage 54. An upper portion of the necklace part 10 extends to an exterior through the V-shaped passage 53, in such a manner that the upper portion of the necklace part 10 can be disposed around the neck of the user. In addition, a lower portion of the necklace part 10 extends downward through the I-shaped passage 54.


Meanwhile, the cover 60 is selectively coupled with the body 50 of the tie support 40 depending on the type of the necklace part 10, such as a string type necklace part or a fastener type necklace part.


According to the first embodiment of the present invention, the necklace part 10 is prepared as a string type necklace part. In this case, the cover 60 has the structure as follows. That is, the cover 60 includes a cover plate 61, which is coupled with the insertion bar 55 so as to be mounted on the support member 51 and contour sections of which closely engage with sidewalls of the Y-shaped passage 52 as well as a bottom surface of the fixing plate 56 so as to cover the Y-shaped passage 52, and a plurality of projection bars 63, which extend from a front surface of the cover plate 61 toward a bottom surface of the V-shaped passage 53 formed at both sides of the support member 51. The projection bars 63 are spaced apart from each other in such a manner that the necklace part 10, which passes through the Y-shaped passage 52, makes contact with the projection bars 63 in a zigzag manner. In addition, an insertion hole 62 is formed in the cover 60 and the insertion bar 55 is inserted into the insertion hole 62 of the cover 60.


Accordingly, the necklace part 10 can move up and down through the Y-shaped passage 52. In addition, since the necklace part 10 makes contact with the projection bars 63 in a zigzag manner, restraint force may occur between the necklace part 10 and the projection bars 63, so that the tie is prevented from being loosened.


Preferably, three projection bars 63 are installed at both sides of the cover plate 61, respectively, corresponding to the V-shaped passages 53. If only one or two projection bars 63 are provided, the necklace part 10 may not be efficiently coupled with the projection bars 63, so that the tie may be loosened. In contrast, if the number of the projection bars 63 is more than three, excessive restraint force is applied to the necklace part 10, so that it is difficult to move the necklace part 10 up and down.


In order to allow the cover plate 61 to be stably fixed in the body 50 of the tie support 40, a guide protrusion 57 is further installed at the inner sidewall of the V-shaped passage 53 in adjacent to the fixing plate 56.


Hereinafter, description will be made in relation to the tie 100 having the tie support 40 according to the first embodiment of the present invention with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3. FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view illustrating the tie 100 having the tie support 40 according to the first embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 3 is an assembled perspective view of FIG. 2.


As shown in FIG. 2, the tie 100 includes the necklace part 10 coupled with the tie support 40 according to the first embodiment of the present invention, a knot part 20 into which the tie support 40 is inserted, and a tail part 30 integrally formed with the knot part 20.


The knot part 20 is formed with a cavity 22 having an inverted triangular shape corresponding to the shape of the tie support 40, so that the tie support 40 is stably installed in the cavity 22. In addition, the knot part 20 has an upper opening section 24 through which the tie support 40 is inserted into the cavity 22 of the knot part 20. A lower opening section 26 is formed at a lower end portion of the knot part 20, so that the necklace part 10 that has come out of the tie support 40 through the Y-shaped passage 52 can extend downward by passing through the lower opening section 26 of the knot part 20. The upper opening section 24 has a size larger than that of the lower opening section 26. Preferably, the lower opening section 26 has a size sufficient for allowing the necklace part 10, which has come out of the tie support 40 through the Y-shaped passage 52, to pass therethrough together with the tail part 30.


In addition, the tail part 30 is integrally formed with the upper opening section 24 of the knot part 20 and extends downward by passing through the cavity 22 and the lower opening section 26 of the knot part 20, thereby surrounding the tie support 40 accommodated in the knot part 20. At this time, the necklace part 10, which extends downward beyond the knot part 20, is hidden from view by the tail part 30.


That is, according to the first embodiment of the present invention, the knot part 20 including a knot having an inverted triangular shape is integrally formed with the tail part 30, so that the tie 100 can be easily obtained by inserting the tail part 30 into the lower opening section 26 of the knot part 20. In particular, since the knot has already been prepared in the knot part 20, it is not necessary to separately form the knot, improving convenience.


At this time, fastening members 70 are attached to a middle portion of the necklace part 10 positioned at an upper portion of the knot part 20. The fastening members 70 include buttons or Velcro fasteners.


If the tail part 30 is pulled down due to external force applied thereto, the necklace part 10 may choke the neck of the user. The present invention has solved this problem by attaching the fastening members 70 to the necklace part 10. That is, if an excessive force is applied to the necklace part 10, the fastening members 70 are separated from each other, so that the necklace part 10 breaks. Accordingly, the necklace part 10 does not choke the neck of the user.


Embodiment 2

Different from Embodiment 1 that discloses the string type necklace part 10 coupled with the tie support, Embodiment 2 discloses a necklace part 110 having a slider fastener 180 as shown in FIG. 4. In this case, a cover 160 capable of installing the slider fastener 180 is coupled with a body 150 of a tie support 140.


As shown in FIG. 4, the tie support 140 according to the second embodiment of the present invention includes the body 150 and the cover 160. Since the cover 150 has the structure identical to that of the cover 50 according to the first embodiment of the present invention, the following description will be focused on the cover 160 in order to avoid redundancy.


The cover 160 includes a cover plate 161, which is coupled with an insertion bar 155 so as to be mounted on a support member 151 and closely engages with an inner portion of a fixing plate 156 so as to cover a Y-shaped passage 152, and a boss 163, which is coupled with the insertion bar 155 and protrudes from a front surface of the cover plate 160 by a predetermined length such that a pull-tab 185 of a slider 183 can be locked with the insertion bar 155. A guide member 164 is formed on the front surface of the cover plate 161 in order to stably guide/support the boss 163 when the boss 163 is fitted around the insertion bar 155. The guide member 164 closely makes contact with a vertex of the support member 151, which is adjacent to the insertion bar 155.


The slider fastener 180 installed in the necklace part 110 includes a pair of tapes 182 having teeth 181 aligned lengthwise along the slider fastener 180 in opposition to each other, and the slider 183 for coupling/decoupling the teeth 181 provided in the tapes 182. The slider 183 includes a slider body 184 for coupling/decoupling the teeth 181 and the pull-tab 185 for moving the slider body 184 up and down. The pull-tab 185 is formed with an insertion hole 186 into which the insertion bar 155 is inserted.


When the necklace part 110 is installed in the tie support 140, the insertion bar 155 provided in the body 150 of the tie support 140 is primarily inserted into the insertion hole 186 of the pull-tab 185. Then, each piece of the tapes 182 is placed at both sides of the Y-shaped passage 152, respectively. After that, the cover 160 is coupled with the body 150, thereby restraining the necklace part 160.


At this time, the boss 163 formed on the front surface of the cover plate 161 is fitted around the insertion bar 155, thereby preventing the slider 183 coupled with the insertion bar 155 from being separated from the insertion bar 155. The guide member 164 of the cover plate 161 may stably guide/support the boss 163 while the boss 163 is being fitted around the insertion bar 155.


Accordingly, if the user pulls up/down the necklace part 110 about the tie support 140, the tapes 182 move up/down with respect to the fixed slider 183, so that the teeth 181 provided in the tapes 182 are coupled to or decoupled from each other. Thus, the user can adjust the size (inner diameter) of the necklace part 110 provided at an upper portion of the tie support 140.


As mentioned above with reference to the first embodiment of the present invention, fastening members 170 are attached to the necklace part 140 provided at the upper portion of the tie support 140.


As shown in FIG. 5, a tie 200 having the tie support 140 according to the second embodiment of the present invention is substantially identical to the tie 100 according to the first embodiment of the present invention, except that the necklace part 110 is coupled with the slider fastener 180, so detailed description for the tie 200 will be omitted below.


Thus, the tie support according to the present invention can be selectively incorporated with the string type necklace part or the slider fastener type necklace part by exchanging the cover coupled with the body of the tie support.


As described above, according to the present invention, the string type necklace part is coupled with the projection bars in a zigzag manner along the Y-shaped passage formed in the body of the tie support, so that the necklace part can move up and down through the Y-shaped passage without being excessively pressed. Thus, the tie can be prevented from being loosened.


In addition, the cover is coupled with the insertion bar so as to be mounted on the support member and outer contour sections of the cover closely engage with inner sidewalls of the Y-shaped passage as well as the bottom surface of the fixing plate so as to cover the Y-shaped passage while restraining the necklace part moving through the Y-shaped passage. Therefore, the necklace part moving along the Y-shaped passage may prevent separating the cover from the body of the tie support and the necklace part can be prevented from being separated from the tie support.


According to the present invention, the tie support is suitable not only for the tie having the string type necklace part, but also for the tie having the fastener type necklace part, if the user changes the cover coupled with the body of the tie support according to application thereof.


In addition, according to the present invention, the knot part having the knot is integrally formed with the tail part, and the tail part extends downward by passing through the lower opening section of the knot part to form the tie, so that the user can easily wear the tie. Since the knot has already been provided in the knot part, it is not necessary to separately form the knot, improving convenience.


Furthermore, the fastening members are attached to both end portions of the necklace part such that they are separated from each other when excessive external force is applied to the tail part. That is, the necklace part breaks when the tail part is excessively pulled down by external force applied thereto, so that the necklace part does not choke the neck of the user.


Although a preferred embodiment of the present invention has been described for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims.

Claims
  • 1. A tie support capable of adjusting a size of a necklace part of a tie, in which the necklace part has a predetermined length and both ends of which are inserted into the tie support, the tie support comprising: a body including a support member having an inverted triangular shape, in which a Y-shaped passage having an upper portion opened with a predetermined width is formed in the body about the support number in such a manner that both ends of the necklace part inserted into the Y-shaped passage are collected at a lower portion of the Y-shaped passage; and a cover coupled with the body so as to restrain the necklace part.
  • 2. The tie support as claimed in claim 1, wherein an insertion bar having a predetermined length is provided on a bottom tell of the body below the support member, a fixing plate is provided at an upper portion of the support member in such a manner that the fixing plate protrudes from the bottom wall of the body beyond the support member, the cover is coupled with the insertion bar such that the cover is mounted on the support member, and outer contour sections of the cover closely engage with sidewalk of the Y shaped passage as well as a bottom surface of the fixing plate, so that the Y-shaped passage is covered with the cover.
  • 3. The tie support as claimed in claim 2, wherein, when the necklace part is at string type necklace part, the cover includes: a cover plate, which is coupled with the insertion bar so as to be mounted on the support member and contour sections of which closely engage with sidewalk of the Y-shaped passage as well as a bottom surface of the fixing plate so as to cover the Y-shaped passage; and a plurality of projection bars, which extend from a front surface of the cover plate toward a bottom surface of the IV shaped passage formed at both sides of the support member, in which the projection bars are spaced apart from each other in such a manner that the necklace part, which passes through the Y-shaped passage, makes contact with the projection bars in a zigzag manner.
  • 4. The tie support as claimed in claim 2, wherein, when the necklace part is a fastener type necklace part, the cover includes: a cover plate, which is coupled with the insertion bar so as to be mounted on the support member and closely engages with an inner portion of the fixing plate so as to cover the Y-shaped passage; and a boss, which is coupled with the insertion bar and protrudes from a front surface of the cover plate by a predetermined length such that a pull-tab of a slider is locked with the insertion bar.
  • 5. A tie comprising: a tie support as claimed in claim 1; and a knot part having an inverted triangular shape corresponding to a shape of the tie support and including an 10 upper opening section to receive the tie support and a lower opening section for allowing the necklace part that has come into a lower portion of the Y-shaped passage to extend downward by passing through the lower opening section; and a tail part integrally formed with the upper opening section of the knot part and extending downward by passing through the lower opening section of the knot part, thereby surrounding the tie support accommodated in the knot part, wherein a fastening member is attached to a middle portion of the necklace part positioned above the tail part.
  • 6. The tie support as claimed in claim 2, therein the fastening member includes buttons or Velcro fastener.
