Claims
- 1. A tile design comprising:
- a planar shaped transparent or translucent substrate, said substrate being sufficiently flexible to be readily handled yet sufficiently rigid to maintain its planar shape; and
- a plurality of various shaped and colored tile pieces primarily selected from commercially available precut tile pieces, secured on the sides abutting to said substrate to form an irregular shaped tile design thereon whereby the substrate provides the permanent support to maintain the shape of the tile design.
- 2. A tile design as set forth in claim 1 wherein said tile pieces are secured to said substrate with a flexible adhesive.
- 3. A tile design as set forth in claim 1 wherein said substrate includes a plurality of holes formed therein only at locations on said substrate where tile pieces are to be secured by an adhesive, and wherein at least one hole is located for each of said tile pieces so that said adhesive extends through the hole and along the reverse side of the substrate.
- 4. A tile design as set forth in claim 1 including a second plurality of tile pieces secured to the side of side substrate opposite to which said other tile design is secured to provide a double sided tile design.
- 5. A tile design as set forth in claim 4 wherein said tile designs on both sides of said substrate are mirror images.
