Claims
- 1. An apparatus comprising:
first and second members configured to be operable at a distal portion of a flexible device, at least one of the first and second members including an implant having two rigid components coupled in a fixed relation by a flexible member, the first and second members configured to interact to deploy the implant in a patient.
- 2. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the flexible member is formed of a material different than that of the rigid components.
- 3. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the flexible member comprises suture.
- 4. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the first and second members each form part of a jaw.
- 5. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein at least one of the first and second members is actuatable to deploy the implant in the patient.
- 6. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein at least one of the members includes a tissue piercing element.
- 7. The apparatus of claim 6 wherein the tissue piercing element is a needle.
- 8. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein at least one of the members includes two tissue piercing elements.
- 9. The apparatus of claim 8 wherein the tissue piercing elements are oriented parallel with each other.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein both the first and second members include a part of implant.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein at least one of the rigid components includes a bar defining two holes.
- 12. An apparatus comprising:
a member configured to pierce tissue and including an implant having rigid portions connected in a fixed relation by a flexible portion, the member configured to be operable at a distal portion of a flexible device to deploy the rigid portions of the implant through body tissue.
- 13. The apparatus of claim 12 wherein the flexible portion comprises suture.
- 14. The apparatus of claim 12 wherein the member includes a tissue piercing element.
- 15. The apparatus of claim 14 wherein the tissue piercing element is a needle.
- 16. The apparatus of claim 12 wherein the member includes two tissue piercing elements.
- 17. The apparatus of claim 16 wherein the tissue piercing elements are parallel with each other.
- 18. The apparatus of claim 12 wherein at least one of the rigid portions includes a bar defining two holes.
