Claims
- 1. A smoking composition comprising tobacco containing about 0.25 to about 0.80 weight percent native nitrate nitrogen and palladium in an amount of from about 0.001 to about 1 weight percent based on the weight of the tobacco wherein said palladium is in the form of finely divided metallic palladium.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 wherein the palladium is present as palladium black.
- 3. The composition of claim 1 wherein the palladium is in the form of ammonium hexachloropalladate.
