The disclosure relates to shoe insert devices and more particularly pertains to a new shoe insert device for keeping a user's feet and toes warm and dry.
The prior art relates to shoe insert devices. Known devices typically only cover the sole of the shoe and do not include any kind of toe covering. Other liners cover the entirety of the user's foot and typically match the shape of a boot. These devices lack a covering that only covers the user's toes.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising an insole base having a base top side, a base bottom side, a base perimeter, a base toe portion, and a base heel portion. The insole base is padded. A toe cover is coupled to the insole base. The toe cover is coupled to the base perimeter around the base toe portion and has an arcuate profile to define a toe cavity configured to receive a user's toes. The toe cover is waterproof. The insole base and the toe cover are configured to fit securely within a user's shoe or boot to serve as a padded and warming insole for his or her feet bottoms and toes.
An alternative embodiment of the disclosure generally comprises an insole base having a base top side, a base bottom side, a base perimeter, a base toe portion, and a base heel portion. A support back is coupled to the insole base. The support back is coupled to the base perimeter and extends to the profile of the toe cover on each of an instep side and an outstep side of the insole base. The support back is elasticized such that it securely conforms to the shape of the user's foot.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A toe cover 24 is coupled to the insole base 12. The toe cover 24 is coupled to the base perimeter 18 around the base toe portion 20 and has an arcuate profile 25 to define a toe cavity 26 configured to receive a user's toes. The toe cover 24 is waterproof.
Each of the insole base 12 and the toe cover 24 may have a waterproof outer lining 28, a waterproof inner lining 30, and a medial padded layer 32 disposed therebetween. The medial padded layer 32 may be at least 75% thicker than each of the waterproof outer lining 28 and the waterproof inner lining 30. The medial padded layer 32 may be, but is not limited to, a natural padded and insulating material such as wool.
In an alternative embodiment of the invention 40, a support back 42 is coupled to the insole base 12. The support back 42 is coupled to the base perimeter 18 and extends to the profile 25 of the toe cover on each of an instep side 44 and an outstep side 46 of the insole base. The support back 42 is elasticized such that it securely conforms to the shape of the user's foot.
In use, the insole base 12 and the toe cover 14 are configured to fit securely within a user's shoe or boot to serve as a padded and warming insole for his or her feet bottoms and toes.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
