The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art nor material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
Technical Field
The present invention relates generally to the field of foot apparel of existing art and more specifically relates to toe sleeves.
Related Art
Presently, a person has a multitude of choices when it comes to foot apparel. Foot apparel may serve a function or may simply be for fashion. Often times apparel worn on the feet serve as both functional and fashionable attire. Foot apparel comes in many forms, typically a pair of boots or shoes are worn with a pair of socks. Boots and shoes serve as an insulated barrier between a user's foot and the ground. Boot and shoes can be abrasive on the skin of a user's foot. When a user walks while wearing a boot or shoe the skin of the user's foot may experience discomfort from the user's skin frictionally rubbing against the interior of the boot or shoe. Socks are worn as a barrier between the skin of a user's foot and the interior of their boot or shoe. Socks may be unfashionable in some attire, or uncomfortable, causing a user to disregard the sock barrier between the user's skin and the interior of their foot apparel. Not wearing socks may result in calluses, chipped toenail paint, and other damage of the user's foot.
U.S. Pat. No. 6,393,620 to Joy S. Hatch relates to a partial sock. The described partial sock includes an article of apparel for a foot that covers the forward portion of the foot only and does not show above the tops of shoes and enhances fit and comfort of wearing shoes. Such a partial sock, or half sock, is advantageous for uses including wearing with shoes that cover the forward portion of the foot only, such as open-heel and clog-type shoes.
In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known toe sleeve art, the present disclosure provides a novel device for shielding toes. The general purpose of the present disclosure, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a device for shielding toes.
A device for shielding toes is disclosed herein. The device for shielding toes includes a plurality of cavities located at a top portion of the device. A plurality of insoles located within each of the plurality of cavities. A substantially flat platform, the substantially flat platform having an upper end and a lower end. The lower end of the substantially flat platform is curved in shape. The substantially flat platform extends a predetermined length from a lower end of each of the plurality of cavities. The padding material is disposed inside the plurality of cavities and on the substantially flat platform. The device is configured to protect the toes for pains and aches while wearing footwear.
For purposes of summarizing the invention, certain aspects, advantages, and novel features of the invention have been described herein. It is to be understood that not necessarily all such advantages may be achieved in accordance with any one particular embodiment of the invention. Thus, the invention may be embodied or carried out in a manner that achieves or optimizes one advantage or group of advantages as taught herein without necessarily achieving other advantages as may be taught or suggested herein. The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out and distinctly claimed in the concluding portion of the specification. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.
The figures which accompany the written portion of this specification illustrate embodiments and methods of use for the present disclosure, a device for shielding toes, constructed and operative according to the teachings of the present disclosure.
The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.
As discussed above, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a foot apparel and more particularly to a device for shielding toes as used to improve the shielding of toes.
Generally, a device for shielding toes includes a plurality of cavities located at a top portion of the device. Each of the plurality of cavities may be a different size. Each of the plurality of cavities may be connected to another of the plurality of cavities. The plurality of cavities may include five cavities in preferred embodiments. The plurality of cavities may comprise five distinct toe sections. The cavities may be configured to provide a snug fit to the toes. Each of the plurality of cavities may extend a length of each of the (respective) toes. A plurality of insoles may be located within each the plurality of cavities. The plurality of cavities and the plurality of insoles may be integrally connected. Each of the plurality of insoles may have a predetermined thickness. The plurality of insoles may be located at an upper end of each of the plurality of cavities. The substantially flat platform has an upper end and a lower end. The lower end of the substantially flat platform is curved in shape. The plurality of cavities and the substantially flat platform may be integrally connected. The substantially flat platform extends a predetermined length from a lower end of each of the plurality of cavities. The padding material is disposed inside the plurality of cavities and on the substantially flat platform. The padding material may be made of a flexible material. The padding material may be made of moisture-wicking material configured to provide comfort. The moisture-wicking material may be configured to provide cooling of the toes. The device is, as such, configured to protect the toes from pains and aches while wearing footwear. The device may be configured to protect toenail polish from chipping. The device may be made from a spandex and polyester blend.
