The outer surface of the toilet lid 50 is a top surface and an outer peripheral surface of the toilet lid 50 in a state where the toilet lid 50 is closed. Hereinafter, the surface located opposite the outer surface of the toilet lid 50 is referred to as the under-side surface 50A of the toilet lid 50. The outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11 is an outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 14.

In the toilet seat device 20, glossiness of the outer surface of the toilet seat 40 is also equal to or less than glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11. The outer surface of the toilet seat 40 is a top surface, an outer peripheral surface, an inner peripheral surface, and a lower surface of the toilet seat 40 in a state where the toilet seat 40 is closed. In the toilet 10, similarly to the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20, glossiness of the outer surface of the side cover 15 is also equal to or less than glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11.

In the present disclosure, a state in which the glossiness is equal to or less includes a case where the glossiness of the outer surface 20A is equal to the glossiness of the outer surface 11A and a case where the glossiness of the outer surface 20A is lower than the glossiness of the outer surface 11A. The state in which the glossiness is equal means that the difference between the glossiness of the outer surface 20A and the glossiness of the outer surface 11A is within ±10 and preferably within ±5 when measured by a glossiness measurement method to be described later. That is, in the present disclosure, the glossiness of the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 is equal to or less than a value obtained by adding 10 to the glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11 and preferably equal to or less than a value obtained by adding 5 to the glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11 when measured by a method of measuring glossiness to be described later.

The glossiness is measured as 60° specular glossiness by a gloss meter according to JIS-Z8741. As a gloss meter, for example, the gloss meter (GM-268A, manufactured by KONICA MINOLTA, INC.) can be used. The glossiness of the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 is measured at one location of each of a flat region on the outer surface of the toilet seat box 30 and a flat region on the outer surface of the toilet lid 50. The glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11 is measured at one location of a flat region on the outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall 14. When both the glossiness of the outer surface of the toilet seat box 30 and the glossiness of the outer surface of the toilet lid 50 are equal to or less than the glossiness of the outer peripheral surface of peripheral wall 14, it is determined that the glossiness of the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 is equal to or less than the glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11.

The glossiness of the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 and the glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11 are 50 or less. The glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11 is preferably 10 or more and 50 or less, more preferably 15 or more and 45 or less, and still more preferably 20 or more and 40 or less. When the glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11 is within the above range, it is easy to manufacture the toilet body 11 with low gloss. The glossiness of the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 is preferably 5 or more and 40 or less, more preferably 8 or more and 35 or less, and still more preferably 10 or more and 30 or less. When the glossiness of the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 is within the above range, it is easy to adjust the glossiness according to the glossiness of the toilet body 11.

The glossiness of the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 is preferably less than the glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11. According to this configuration, even when illumination light and natural light strikes from above in the installed state of the toilet 10, the luster of the toilet seat device 20 with respect to the toilet body 11 is suppressed, and the appearance of the toilet 10 as a whole can be harmonized.

As illustrated in FIGS. 4 to 7, the toilet seat device 20 has a coated surface and a non-coated surface. In FIGS. 4 and 5, the coated surface is shaded, and the non-coated surface is drawn in a white outlined shape. In FIGS. 7 and 8, the coating film 29 is schematically drawn by a thick solid line.

The outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 is a coated surface. That is, the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 is a surface on which the coating film 29 is formed by applying coating material to a base material 28. In the present disclosure, the outer surface 20A being a coated surface means that a surface, of the outer surface 20A, that is easily seen from an upper side, a front side, a right side, and a left side is a coated surface. That is, it can be said that the outer surface 20A is a coated surface as long as at least the easily visible surface of the outer surface 20A is a coated surface, and the surface that is not easily visible may not be coated. The base material 28 is made of a synthetic resin and is colored in the same color as the coating film 29. In the coating film 29, a transparent coating layer is laminated on a color layer in white or the like. In the non-coated surface, the base material 28 is exposed. The glossiness of the coating film 29 is lower than the glossiness of the base material 28. That is, the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 is adjusted to have glossiness equal to or less than glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the ceramic toilet body 11 by forming the coating film 29 on the base material 28. The outer surface of the toilet seat 40 is also a coated surface in which the coating film 29 is formed by applying coating material to the base material 28. The outer surface of the side cover 15 is also a coated surface similar to the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20.

As illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 6, the sliding surfaces 31A and 31B on which the toilet seat shaft portion 46 slides and the sliding surface 31C on which the toilet lid shaft portion 55 slides are non-coated surfaces. That is, on the left surface of the toilet seat box 30, the coating film 29 is not formed on the opening edge and the inner peripheral surface of the toilet seat support portion 24 and the outer surface of the toilet lid support portion 27. Around the sliding surface 31B, the non-coated surface is provided in a range wider than a range in which the flange portion 47 of the toilet seat shaft portion 46 slides. The non-coated surface provided on the sliding surface 31A and on and around the sliding surfaces 31B are hidden by the toilet seat 40, and are provided in a range that is hardly visually recognized by the user when viewed from the side. The non-coated surface provided on the sliding surface 31C is hidden by the toilet lid 50 and is provided in a range that is hardly visually recognized by the user when viewed from the side. In the toilet seat box 30 illustrated in FIG. 3, the inner peripheral surfaces 36A and 37A with which the toilet seat driving unit 23 and the toilet lid driving unit 26 are in contact are non-coated surfaces. As illustrated in FIG. 7, in the toilet seat 40, the contact surface 42A, of the rear leg portion 42, which comes into contact with the toilet body 11 is a non-coated surface. As illustrated in FIGS. 6 and 7, the under-side surface 50A of the toilet lid 50 is a non-coated surface. In the toilet seat box 30, the under-side surface of upper cover 34 and the under-side surface of lower cover 33 are non-coated surfaces.

Functions and effects of the embodiments configured as described above will be described.

The toilet seat device 20 of some embodiments is disposed on an upper part of the toilet body 11. The glossiness of an outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 is equal to or less than the glossiness of an outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11. Since the toilet seat device is disposed on the upper part of the toilet body 11, the toilet seat device is more likely to receive illumination light and natural light than the toilet body 11, and the gloss is easily felt by the user. When the glossiness of the outer surface of the toilet seat device is remarkably higher than the glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11, there is a concern that the sense of unity of the toilet may be impaired due to the strong luster of the toilet seat device. In the toilet seat device 20, since the glossiness of the outer surface 20A of the toilet seat device 20 is equal to or less than the glossiness of the outer surface 11A of the toilet body 11, the luster of the toilet seat device 20 is suppressed, and toilet 10 exhibits a unified appearance. Therefore, according to the toilet seat device 20, the appearance of the toilet 10 as a whole can be harmonized.

In some embodiments, the glossiness of the outer surface 20A and the glossiness of the outer surface of the toilet body 11 are 50 or less. According to this configuration, the appearance in which the luster of the toilet 10 is suppressed as a whole can be obtained.

In some embodiments, the outer surface 20A is a coated surface. According to this configuration, the glossiness of the outer surface 20A can be easily adjusted by coating. For this reason, for example, the glossiness of the outer surface 20A can be appropriately set in accordance with the toilet body 11 made of ceramics different in material from the toilet seat device 20.

The toilet seat device 20 of some embodiments includes the toilet seat shaft portion 46 and the toilet lid shaft portion 55 which are movably provided. The sliding surfaces 31A, 31B, and 31C on which the toilet seat shaft portion 46 and the toilet lid shaft portion 55 slide are non-coated surfaces. According to this configuration, there is no concern that the coating films on the sliding surfaces 31A, 31B, and 31C are peeled off by sliding of the toilet seat shaft portion 46 and the toilet lid shaft portion 55. For this reason, the design of the toilet 10 is hardly impaired due to peeling and peeling residue of the coating film. Furthermore, it is possible to suppress deterioration of the dimensional accuracy of the sliding surfaces 31A, 31B, and 31C due to the film thickness of the coating film, which may impair the slidability of the toilet seat shaft portion 46 and the toilet lid shaft portion 55.

The toilet seat device 20 of some embodiments includes a toilet seat having the rear leg portions 42. The contact surface 42A, of the rear leg portion 42, which comes into contact with the toilet body 11 is a non-coated surface. According to this configuration, there is no concern that the coating film on the contact surface 42A is peeled off due to contact of the contact surface 42A with the toilet body 11 or application of the weight of the seated person to the contact surface 42A when the seated person sits on the toilet seat 40. For this reason, the design of the toilet 10 is hardly impaired due to peeling and peeling residue of the coating film.

The toilet seat device 20 of some embodiments includes the toilet lid 50 rotatably attached to the toilet seat box 30. The under-side surface 50A of the toilet lid 50 is a non-coated surface. According to this configuration, the area of the coated surface can be reduced to contribute to cost reduction as compared with the configuration in which the under-side surface 50A of the toilet lid 50 is coated. In the configuration in which the upper-side surface of the toilet lid 50 is a coated surface and the under-side surface 50A is a non-coated surface, the boundary between the coated surface and the non-coated surface can be disposed near the end surface of the toilet lid 50. For this reason, the boundary between the coated surface and the non-coated surface is hardly visually recognized by the user, and the design property of the toilet lid 50 is hardly impaired due to formation of the coating film 29. In the configuration in which the upper-side surface of the toilet lid 50 is a coated surface and the under-side surface 50A is a non-coated surface, coating can be easily performed separating the coated surface from the non-coated surface.

The present disclosure is not limited to the embodiments described with reference to the above description and drawings, and for example, the following embodiments are also included in the technical scope of the present disclosure.

The outer surface of the toilet seat device need only include a surface that can be easily seen from an upper side, a front side, a right side, and a left side when the toilet lid is closed. The glossiness of the top surface of the lower cover of the toilet seat box and the outer surface of the toilet seat is not particularly limited. However, at least one of the glossiness of the top surface of the lower cover of the toilet seat box and the glossiness of the outer surface of the toilet seat is preferably equal to the glossiness of the outer surface of the toilet seat box and the outer surface of the toilet lid.

The values of the glossiness of the outer surface of the toilet seat device and the glossiness of the outer surface of the toilet body are not limited. For example, when the glossiness of the outer surface of the toilet body is larger than 50, a configuration in which the glossiness of the outer surface of the toilet seat device is larger than 50 can also be included in the technical scope of the present disclosure.

The outer surface of the toilet seat device is not limited to the coated surface. For example, the glossiness of the outer surface may be adjusted by fine embossing or the like. However, from the viewpoint of antifouling property and the like, the outer surface of the toilet seat device is preferably a smooth surface.

The material of the base material of the toilet seat device is not particularly limited. Depending on the material of the base material, the coating film may have a primer layer that improves the surface state and enhances adhesion with other layers.

The sliding surface is not limited to the sliding surface on which the toilet seat shaft portion and the toilet lid shaft portion slide. The sliding surface may be any of these sliding surfaces, or may be another surface on which another movable member slides.

The toilet seat device may not have a non-coated surface. Even in the case of having a non-coated surface, the portion, the position, and the range where the non-coated surface is formed can be appropriately changed. For example, the under-side surface of the toilet lid may be a coated surface. The top surface of the lower cover may be a non-coated surface. The entire under-side surface of the toilet seat may be a non-coated surface.

The toilet seat device may be configured not to include a toilet lid, and include a toilet seat box and a toilet seat. In the toilet seat device not including the toilet lid, the outer surface of the toilet seat device may include the outer surface of the toilet seat. In the toilet seat device, the remote controller accommodated in the recess of the lower cover may also have glossiness of 50 or less and a matte tone. When a cushion body (not illustrated) is disposed on the top surface of the toilet seat, the cushion body may also have glossiness of 50 or less and a matte tone.

The toilet may not have the side cover, and substantially the entire circumference of the toilet body may be made of ceramics. Further, a side cover made of ceramics having glossiness equal to that of the toilet body may be attached to the toilet body.
