Claims
- 1. An electronic sound generation apparatus for an electronic sound system, comprising:
- converting means for sampling and converting a waveform signal into a digital signal representing the waveform signal;
- record memory means coupled to said converting means for recording said digital signal representing the waveform signal, wherein said record memory means includes a plurality of memory areas for storing a plurality of different digital signals in respective different memory areas;
- an input arranged to be coupled to an external pitch designating device for receiving an instruction from the external pitch designating device to read out said digital signal from said record memory means at a designated rate;
- an output arranged to be coupled to an external sound system;
- reading means for reading out the digital signal from the record memory means at said rate which is designated by the instruction received from the external pitch designating device to supply said digital signal to said output so as to generate a sound having a waveform and a designated pitch from said external sound system;
- selecting means for selecting one of the digital signals to be read out from a memory area of said record memory means; and
- manually operable means for causing said reading means to read out the digital signal at a predetermined pitch from said record memory means without receiving an instruction from said external pitch designating device, wherein said manually operable means includes check means for causing said reading means to read out one of the digital signals selected by said selecting means at a predetermined pitch from a memory area of said record memory means, so as to confirm that the waveform signal is correctly sampled in the record memory means.
- 2. The electronic sound generation apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said manually operable means includes switch means for causing said reading means to read out the digital signal from said record memory means.
- 3. An electronic sound generation apparatus capable of being coupled to an external pitch designating device and to an external sound system, comprising:
- tone signal generating means for generating a tone signal having a pitch designated by the external pitch designating device, said tone signal being supplied with said external sound system to output a corresponding sound, wherein said tone signal generating means includes memory means for storing the tone signal representing a waveform, and reading means for reading out the tone signal from said memory means at a rate corresponding to the pitch designated by the external pitch designating device; and
- manually operable means for causing said tone signal generating means to generate the tone signal having a predetermined pitch without receiving an instruction from said pitch designating device, wherein said manually operable means includes check means for causing said reading means to read out the tone signal at a predetermined rate without receiving the instruction from said pitch designating device, so as to confirm that the tone signal is correctly stored in the memory means.
- 4. A tuning control method for an electronic sound generation apparatus which is arranged to be coupled to an external pitch designating device and to an external sound system, comprising the steps of:
- sampling and converting a waveform signal into a digital signal representing the waveform signal;
- recording said digital signal representing the waveform signal in a record memory means which includes a plurality of memory areas for storing a plurality of different digital signals in respective different memory areas;
- selecting one of the digital signals to be read out from a memory area of the record memory means;
- reading out the selected digital signal from the record memory means at a rate designated by an instruction which is input from the external pitch designating device, and for generating a sound having a waveform and a designated pitch from said external sound system; and
- manually operating a manually operable means for causing said reading out of the digital signal at a predetermined pitch from said record memory means without receiving an instruction from said external pitch designating device,
- wherein said manually operating step includes checking said reading out one of the digital signals selected by said selecting means at a predetermined pitch from a memory area of said record memory means, so as to confirm that the waveform signal is correctly stored in the record memory means.
- 5. The tuning control method according to claim 4, wherein said manually operating step includes manually operating a switch for causing said reading out of the digital signal from said record memory means.
