1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a hand tool, and more particularly to a tool and tool holder assembly.
2. Description of Related Art
A conventional tool holder in accordance with the prior art comprises a frame formed from a closed wire loop which includes a tool insertion portion having spaced side rail members connected by an arcuate end bar. An attachment portion of the frame has spaced attachment rail members each connected by a ninety degree bend with one of said side rail members. A clip portion of the frame includes a pair of spaced clip members connected by an arcuate connecting bar, with each of clip members connected by a 180 degree bend with one of the attachment rail members to form a resilient frictional clip for securement to an article of apparel of an individual. A variety of different removable receptacles are disclosed for removable securement in the tool insertion portion of the frame. The various receptacles may be utilized to carry small articles, scissors, and a variety of other tools. The tool holder frame is dimensioned to receive a conventional hammer with the receptacle removed from the tool insertion portion.
When user carries the conventional tool holder with tool, the tool holder may swing such that the tool falls out incidentally. The conventional tool holder secures to the apparel of user unfirmly such that the tool holder with the tool falls out. It is dangerous for user to carry the conventional tool holder.
The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the disadvantages of the conventional tool holder.
The main objective of the present invention is to provide an improved tool and tool holder assembly, in that a tool and tool holder assembly with a clamping effort is acquired.
To achieve the objective, the tool and tool holder assembly includes a tool and a tool holder detachably connected to the tool. The tool has an enlarged portion and a neck portion adjacent to the enlarged portion. The tool holder includes a sleeve which is hollow. The sleeve has a receiving opening defined in one end thereof for receiving the tool. The sleeve has at least one side opening defined in a lateral thereof and at least one elastic aim extended from one end of the at least one side opening. The at least one elastic aim has a pushing surface and a retaining surface formed therein. When the tool passes the receiving opening, the enlarged portion abuts against the pushing surface such that the at least one elastic arm expands. When the neck portion abuts against the retaining surface, the at least one elastic arm retracts to firmly secure the tool.
Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring to the drawings and initially to
The tool 2 has a driving shank 3 extended therefrom and a handle 4 extended therefrom and opposite to the driving shank 3. The handle 4 is in a T-shape. The handle 4 has an enlarged portion 21 formed therein and adjacent to the driving shank 3. The handle 4 has a neck portion 22 formed therein and adjacent to the enlarged portion 21. The enlarged portion 21 is formed in the shape of a convex camber. The neck portion 22 is formed in the shape of a concave camber.
The tool holder 1 includes a sleeve 11 and a hook 12 pivotally connected to the sleeve 11. The sleeve 11 is in a shape of cylinder and hollow inside. The hook 12 is disposed in a lateral of the sleeve 11. The hook 12 has a hanging hole 121 defined therein for being hanged on the wall or secured to a waist band.
The sleeve 11 has a receiving opening 111 defined in one end thereof for receiving the handle 4 of the tool 2 and a passing opening 112 defined in the other end thereof for passing the driving shank 3 of the tool 2. The passing opening 112 is communicated with the receiving opening 111. The sleeve 11 has at least one side opening 113 defined in the lateral thereof and at least one elastic arm 114 extended from one end of the at least one side opening 113. In the preferred embodiment, the sleeve 11 has two side openings 113 defined in the lateral thereof and two elastic arms 114, each elastic arm 114 extended from one end of each side opening 113. Each side opening 113 is extended through the sleeve 11. Each elastic arm 114 has a free end 1141 for providing a resilient force. Each elastic arm 114 has a pushing surface 1142 formed therein and adjacent to the free end 1141. Each elastic arm 114 has a retaining surface 1143 formed therein and adjacent to the pushing surface 1142. The pushing surface 1142 and the retaining surface 1143 are convex cambered surfaces. The sleeve 11 has a receiving end 115 defined in one end thereof and adjacent to the receiving opening 111. The receiving end 115 is flared outwardly for smoothly passing the driving shank 3 and preventing the driving shank 3 from blocking by the receiving end 115.
When the tool 2 assembles with the tool holder 1, the driving shank 3 passes the receiving opening 111. The enlarged portion 21 pushes the pushing surface 1142 such that the elastic arm 114 expands outwardly as shown in
