Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The invention relates to a display box, more particularly to a tool display box.

2. Description of the Related Art

Referring to FIG. 1, a conventional tool display box 10 includes a casing 11 and an insert seat 12 mounted on the casing 11. The casing 11 has a supporting plate 111, two spaced-apart first sidewalls 112 connected to the supporting plate 111, and two spaced-apart second sidewalls 113 interconnecting the first sidewalls 112. The first and second sidewalls 112, 113 and the supporting plate 111 cooperate to define a receiving chamber 114. The insert seat 12 is fixed within the receiving chamber 114, and has a plurality of holes 121 for insertion of a plurality of tools 20 therein.

Because the insert seat 12 is fixed within the receiving chamber 114, to change the display positions of the tools 20, the tools 20 have to be pulled out first from the respective holes 121 before inserting them again into new locations in the insert seat 12. This manner of changing display positions of the tools 20 consumes a lot of time and is cumbersome.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Therefore, the object of the present invention is to provide a tool display box that may permit quick and convenient changing of display positions of tools and that may be used in a variety of ways.

According to this invention, a tool display box comprises a casing and a plurality of display seats. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 2 to 5, the preferred embodiment of a tool display box according to the present invention is shown to comprise a casing 30, a plurality of display seats 40, and a storage box 50.

The casing 30 includes a top opening 38, a bottom wall 31, two spaced-apart first sidewalls 32 connected to and extending upwardly from the bottom wall 31, and two spaced-apart second sidewalls 33 interconnecting the first sidewalls 32 and connected to the bottom wall 31. The bottom wall 31 and the first and second sidewalls 32, 33 cooperate to define a receiving chamber 34. Two spaced-apart first guide rails are provided respectively in inner wall faces 321 of the first sidewalls 32 between the top opening 38 and the bottom wall 31, and extend parallel to the bottom wall 31. The first guide rails, in this embodiment, are formed as first guide ribs 35 projecting respectively and inwardly from the inner wall faces 321 of the first sidewalls 32. Two second guide ribs 36 are formed respectively on the inner wall faces 321 of the first sidewalls 32 spaced from the first guide ribs 35, and are substantially perpendicular to the bottom wall 31. Each of the inner wall faces 321 of the first sidewalls 32 has a rib-free surface 37 between each of the first guide ribs 35 and a corresponding one of the second guide ribs 36.

The display seats 40 are disposed removably in the receiving chamber 34. Each of the display seats 40 includes two opposite sides 41 confronting respectively the inner wall faces 321 of the first sidewalls 32, a top face 44 interconnecting the opposite sides 41, and a top projection 46 projecting upwardly from the top face 44 and extending from one of the opposite sides 41 to the other one of the opposite sides 41. The opposite sides 41 are formed respectively with slide members. In this embodiment, the slide members are formed as first grooves 47 engageable with the first guide ribs 35. The top projection 46 has a triangular cross-section, and has a first side 461 forbearing tool labels (not shown), and a second side 462 formed with a plurality of tool holes 45. Both of the first and second sides 461, 462 are inclined with respect to the top face 44.

Each of the display seats 40 further includes a plurality of tubes 48 inserted respectively into the tool holes 45. Each of the tubes 48 is made of a flexible material, and has a plurality of inward ribs 481 formed on an inner wall thereof. When a tool shank 71 of a tool 70 is inserted into one of the tubes 48, the tool 70 is stably positioned in the respective tube 48 through a clamping action of the inward ribs 481. Furthermore, the inward ribs 481 of each tube 48 can absorb the tolerance of the tool shank 71 so that stable holding of the tool 70 may be achieved.

The storage box 50 is disposed in the casing 30 between the first sidewalls 32 and adjacent to one of the second sidewalls 33. The storage box 50 includes two spaced-apart first side plates 51 confronting respectively the inner wall faces 321 of the first sidewalls 32, bottom and top plates 52, 53 interconnecting the first side plates 51, a second side plate 55 connected to the first side plates 51 and the bottom and top plates 52, 53 to define a storage space 56, an open side 57 opposite to the second side plate 55, and two second grooves 54 formed respectively in the first side plates 51 for engaging respectively and slidably the second guide ribs 36. The top plate 53 has a top face to be provided with tool labels (not shown). Spare tools or hand tools (not shown) may be placed inside the storage space 56 to facilitate carrying of the same.

The tool display box of the present invention further comprises two dustproof door panels 62 connected pivotally and respectively to the first sidewalls 32 of the casing 30 by means of hinges 61, and a magnet assembly 63 disposed between the door panels 62 and one of the second sidewalls 33. The door panels 62 move toward each other to realize a closed position, and move away from each other to realize an opened position. Each of the magnet assemblies 63 includes a magnetically attractive plate 631 disposed on a respective one of the door panels 62, and a magnet member 632 fixed on said one of the second sidewalls 33. When the door panels 62 are closed, the magnet assemblies 63 cooperate to magnetically hold the door panels 62 so as to prevent the inadvertent opening of the door panels 62 due to an external force.

It should be noted that the dustproof door panels 62 are preferably designed using transparent materials. Furthermore, the hinge 61 may be provided between one of the door panels 62 and one of the first or second sidewalls 32, 33, and the magnet assembly 63 may be provided between said one of the door panels 62 and the other one of the first or second sidewalls 32, 33. With this altered configuration, a similar dustproof effect is obtained, and only the opening and closing directions of the door panels 62 are different.

Moreover, related illustrations, captions and descriptions (not shown) may be adhered fixedly and respectively to the first side 461 of the top projection 46 of the respective display seat 40 and the top plate 53 of the storage box 50 so that customers may easily understand use and function of each tool 70.

During assembly, the display seats 40 are first mounted within the casing 30 by sliding the opposite sides 41 of each display seat 40 along the inner wall faces 321 toward the bottom wall 31 of the casing 30. By virtue of the rib-free surfaces 37 of the inner wall faces 321, each display seat 40 is permitted to slide downwardly to a level where the first grooves 47 can engage the respective first guide ribs 35. Thereafter, the display seats 40 are positioned in the receiving chamber 34 by sliding the display seats 40 forward along the first guide ribs 35 one after the other. Next, the storage box 50 is disposed in the receiving chamber 34 by engaging the second grooves 54 with the second guide ribs 36. After the assembly, the display seats 40 and the storage box 50 completely fill up the receiving chamber 34 so that there is no room for further movement, thereby enhancing their secured positioning in the casing 30.

From the aforementioned description of the preferred embodiment, the advantages of the tool display box of the present invention may be summarized as follows:

1. Because the display seats 40 have a removable configuration, they are not only easily disposed in the receiving chamber 34, but they are also easily removed from the receiving chamber 34 so that the display position of each display seat 40 with inserted tools 70 may be quickly and easily changed.

2. Because the tool display box of the present invention is provided with the dustproof door panels 62, the tools 70 may be maintained in a clean state.

While the present invention has been described in connection with what is considered the most practical and preferred embodiment, it is understood that this invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiment but is intended to cover various arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and equivalent arrangements.
