- 5. An improved tool holder for a board cutting machine, said machine having an input side and an output side with a predetermined direction of feed of a board to be cut into the machine, and at least one tool holder bar disposed transverse to the direction of feed of the board, said improved tool holder comprising:a first member adapted to be received at various positions along the tool holder bar of the board cutting machine such that the position of the first member can be adjusted in a direction that is transverse to the feed direction of the board, said first member further having at least one downwardly disposed bracket for receiving an adjustment mechanism; an adjustment mechanism mounted on the downwardly disposed bracket; and a blade assembly removably attached to the adjustment mechanism, wherein said adjustment mechanism enables said blade assembly to be moved relative to the first member in a direction that is transverse and co-peanar to the feed direction of the board, said blade assembly comprising an attachment member removably attached to the adjustment mechanism and at least one blade mounted on the attachment member.
- 6. The tool holder of claim 5 wherein a cutting edge of the blade is disposed in the blade assembly opposite to the direction of feed of the board to be cut.
- 7. The tool holder of claim 5 wherein the blade is non-rotating and fixably mounted to the attachment member.
- 8. The tool holder of claim 5 wherein the adjustment mechanism comprises:at least one rod attached to the downwardly disposed bracket of the first member, said rod having male threads on at least a portion of said rod, said rod disposed transverse to the feed direction of the board; and at least one female threaded connector movably disposed on the rod that threadedly engages the threaded portion of the rod thereby allowing adjustable movement of the blade assembly in a direction transverse to the feed direction of the board.
- 9. The tool holder of claim 5 wherein the adjustment mechanism comprises:at least one rod disposed in openings of the downwardly disposed bracket of the first member, said rod having male threads on at least a portion of said rod, said rod disposed transverse to the feed direction of the board; and at least one female threaded connector movably disposed on the rod that threadedly engages the threaded portion of the rod thereby allowing adjustable movement of the blade assembly in a direction transverse to the feed direction of the board.
