With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
The toothbrush 12 has a head 32, a base 34 and an outside wall 36 extending between the head 32 and the base 34 and the outside wall 36 has a bottom portion 38, a middle portion 40 and a top portion 42; the middle portion 40 slopes inwardly between the bottom portion 38 and the top portion 42. The outside wall 36 associated with each of the bottom portion 38 and the middle portion 40 is continuously arcuate about an axis extending between the base 34 and the head 32 such that each of the bottom portion 38 and the middle portion 40 has a cylindrical shape. The top portion 42 has a plurality of intersecting sides 44 that are perpendicularly oriented with each other such that the top portion 42 has a rectangular shape. Each of a first lateral side 46 and a second lateral side 48 associated with the plurality of intersecting sides 44 curves outwardly at a center point of the top portion 42 to define the head 32 of the toothbrush 12; each of the plurality of bristles 18 is positioned on a bottom side 50 of the head 32. As is most clearly shown in
The toothpaste reservoir 14 is positioned in the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36 and extends into the top portion 42 of the outside wall 36. The head 32 has a pair of toothpaste openings 52 each extending through the bottom side 50 of the head 32 into the toothpaste reservoir 14 thereby facilitating the fluid toothpaste 16 to flow outwardly through the pair of toothpaste openings 52. The bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36 has a recess 54 extending into an outside surface 56 of the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36. The recess 54 extends around a full circumference of the bottom portion 38 and the recess 54 is spaced from the base 34. The bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36 has a first opening 58 extending into the mouthwash reservoir 24 thereby facilitating the first opening 58 to release the liquid mouthwash 26 from the mouthwash reservoir 24 and the first opening 58 is positioned in the recess 54.
The toothpaste dispenser 22 comprises a first disk 60 that is rotatably integrated into the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36. The first disk 60 has a first ledge 62 extending laterally away from a point located adjacent to an upper end 64 of the first disk 60 which slidably engages a first recess 64 in an interior surface 66 of the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36. The first disk 60 has a second ledge 68 extending laterally away from a point located adjacent to a lower end 70 of the first disk 60 which slidably engages a second recess 69 in the interior surface 66 of the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36. In this way the first disk 60 can be rotated about the axis extending between the base 34 and the head 32 of the toothbrush 12. Furthermore, the upper end 64 of the first disk 60 defines a lower threshold 72 of the toothpaste reservoir 14. An outermost surface 73 of the first disk 60 is spaced outwardly from each of the first ledge 62 and the second ledge 68 such that said outermost surface 73 is aligned with the outside surface 56 of the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36.
The toothpaste dispenser 22 includes a rail 74 that is integrated into the interior surface 66 of the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36 and the rail 74 is oriented to extend along a line that is parallel to the axis extending between the base 34 and the head 32 of the toothbrush 12. The screw 76 is attached to and extends upwardly from the upper end 64 of the first disk 60 such that the screw 76 extends into the toothpaste reservoir 14. The toothpaste dispenser 22 includes a second disk 78 positioned within the toothpaste reservoir 14 and the screw 76 extends through a top surface 80 and a bottom surface 82 of the second disk 78. A perimeter edge 84 of the second disk 78 engages the rail 74 thereby inhibiting the second disk 78 from rotating. The second disk 78 travels upwardly along the screw 76 when the first disk 60 is rotated in a first direction such that the second disk 78 urges the fluid toothpaste 16 to travel outwardly through the pair of toothpaste openings 52 for releasing the fluid toothpaste 16 onto the plurality of bristles 18. Conversely, the second disk 78 travels downwardly along the screw 76 when the first disk 60 is rotated in a second direction.
The mouthwash dispenser 28 comprises an annular ring 86 that is rotatably positioned in the recess 54 in the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36 of the toothbrush 12. The annular ring 86 has a second opening 88 extending through the annular ring 86. The annular ring 86 is rotatable into a dispensing position having the second opening 88 being aligned with the first opening 58 in the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36 thereby facilitating the second opening 88 to release the liquid mouthwash 26 from the mouthwash reservoir 24. Conversely, the annular ring 86 is rotatable into a closed position having the second opening 88 being offset from the first opening 58 thereby inhibiting the liquid mouthwash 26 from flowing from the mouthwash reservoir 24.
The toothbrush 12 has a floss chamber 90 that is integrated into an interior of the toothbrush 12. The floss chamber 90 is positioned between the base 34 of the toothbrush 12 and the mouthwash reservoir 24. The bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36 of the toothbrush 12 has a floss opening 91 that extends into the floss chamber 90. A spool of dental floss 92 is rotatably positioned in the floss chamber 90. The spool of dental floss 92 has a first knob 94 extending away from a top side 96 of the spool of dental floss 92 and the spool of dental floss 92 has a second knob 98 extending away from a bottom side 100 of the spool of dental floss 92. The first knob 94 extends into an engagement recess 102 in an upper wall 104 of the floss chamber 90 and the second knob 98 extends into an engagement recess 106 in a lower wall 108 of the floss chamber 90 for rotatably retaining the spool of dental floss 92 in the floss chamber 90. The dental floss 110 extends outwardly through the floss opening 91 in the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36 of the toothbrush 12 thereby facilitating the dental floss 110 to be pulled from the spool of dental floss 92.
A floss cutter 112 is provided and the floss cutter 112 is attached to the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36 of the toothbrush 12. The floss cutter 112 is positioned adjacent to the floss opening 91 in the bottom portion 38 of the outside wall 36 thereby facilitating the dental floss 110 that is pulled outwardly from the floss opening 91 to be cut. In this way the dental floss 110 that is pulled outwardly from the floss opening 91 can be employed for flossing teeth 20. A tongue cleaner 114 is applied to a top side 116 of the head 32 and the tongue cleaner 114 includes a pad 118 that is attached to the top side 116 of the head 32 and a plurality of knobs 120 each extending away from the pad 118.
In use, the first disk 60 is rotated until a desired amount of the fluid toothpaste 16 is dispensed onto the bristles 18 to facilitate the toothbrush 12 to be employed for brushing teeth 20. The annular ring 86 is rotated to align the second opening 88 with the first opening 58 thereby facilitating the liquid mouthwash 26 to be dispensed through the second opening 88. Furthermore, a desired length of the dental floss 110 can be drawn outwardly from the floss opening 91 and cut with the floss cutter 112 for flossing teeth 20. In this way all aspects of dental and oral hygiene can be performed with the toothbrush 12 thereby saving storage space in a bathroom, for example, as well as reducing the number of objects that must be carried during travel, for example, for performing oral and dental hygiene.
