Claims
- 1. A coupler device for coupling a torquing device to an item to be rotated thereby, the coupler device comprising
a body with a first end and a second end, a recess in the first end of the body, a shaft with a shaft first end and a shaft second end, at least part of the shaft within the recess of the body, a clutch apparatus in the recess of the body, and clutch energizing apparatus for energizing the clutch apparatus.
- 2. The coupler device of claim 1 further comprising
clutch deenergizing apparatus for deenergizing the clutch apparatus.
- 3. The coupler device of claim 1 further comprising the clutch apparatus further comprising
a plurality of spaced-apart shaft clutch plates connected to the shaft and projecting out therefrom into the recess of the body, a plurality of spaced-apart body clutch plates connected to and projecting inwardly into the recess of the body, and the plurality of spaced-apart shaft clutch plates interleaved with the plurality of spaced-apart body clutch plates.
