Claims
- 1. A topical formulation useful in an eye, comprising:
- 10 to 60% by weight of aminocaproic acid;
- 0.5 to 5% by weight of carboxypolymethylene; and
- 0.05 to 0.25% by weight of ethylenediamine tetracectic acid,
- said topical formulation being in the form of a water based gel, said water based gel having a uniform pH of approximately 7.4 throughout a volume defined by said water-based gel, and said aminocaproic acid, said carboxypolymethylene, and said ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid being sterilized for human or animal use and being uniformly distributed through out said volume defined by said gel.
- 2. A topical formulation as recited in claim 1 further comprising approximately 0.5 to 30% by weight of sterilized proparacaine uniformly distributed throughout said volume defined by said gel.
