Description
TECHNICAL FIELD

The present application relates to the technical field of a barbecue tool and a torch and torch attachment, and in particular to a torch extension.

BACKGROUND

A torch is a practical ignition device designed and produced according to the needs of picnics, gas lighting, barbecue and wax lighting. The torch has many distinctive features, such as safe and reliable ignition, convenient carrying and small size. At present, the torch is composed of an ignition device, a shell, a canister and a fuel delivery tube. When in use, a gas inside the canister is discharged by opening a valve of the ignition device and ignited by the ignition device, so that a flame generated by gas combustion is discharged through the fuel delivery tube. However, the flame produced by the torch is naked and exposed, i.e., it extends beyond the torch, thus there is a kitchen fire safety risk. In addition, the naked and exposed flame is focused, which is easy to cause the phenomenon of scorching and exhibit an undesirable “torch taste” in which off-flavors and unpleasant smells are imparted to the food.

Therefore, the U.S. Pat. No. 9,453,642B2 discloses a torch and torch attachment. However, the disadvantage of torch and torch attachment is that the liner of thermal insulation will cause excessive unnecessary smoke when used indoors, causing the alarm to sound. In addition, the radiator configured as an openwork wire mesh is prone to aging and needs to be replaced, which is extremely inconvenient. Finally, if the user accidentally touches the surface of cooked products such as meat or cakes with his or her hand when using the torch, he or she will be accidentally burned due to the high temperature, which is not solved by the U.S. Pat. No. 9,453,642B2.

The appearances of the phrase in various places in the specification are not necessarily referring to the same embodiments, and are not exclusive or alternative embodiments that are mutually exclusive from other embodiments. Those skilled in the art will explicitly and implicitly understand that the embodiments described herein can be combined with other embodiments.

Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, FIG. 1 shows the use state of a torch extension, FIG. 2 shows the structural of a torch extension. The embodiment of the present application provides a torch extension 10, which comprises a tubular body 11 with a hollow cylindrical shape and a connection head 12 at one end of the tubular body 11, the tubular body 11 and the connection head 12 can be integrated or attachable to each other, the bottom of the tubular body 11 is closed and has a rear inlet 111 connected with the connection head 12, through which a fuel from the fuel delivery tube 21 enters the tubular body 11 to create a flame when the fuel is ignited. The connection head 12 is mounted at the rear inlet 111, and is of a tubular structure with a cylindrical shape, with a diameter the same as or close to that of the rear inlet 111. The tubular body 11 and the connection head 12 are both made of a lightweight, thin metal having a low thermal mass, preferably stainless steel.

A torch 20 comprises a canister (not shown in the figures), a fuel delivery tube 21 and an adjustable collar 22, the torch extension 10 is mounted on one end of the fuel delivery tube 21 with the aid of the adjustable collar 22, the other end of the fuel delivery tube 21 is connected with the canister. The adjustable collar 22 has a diameter slightly smaller than that of the connection head 12, so that the adjustable collar 22 can be inserted into the connection head 12 and slide up and down in the connection head 12.

When using the torch to barbecue food, because the flame is often too concentrated, the temperature is too high, and it is easy to cause the food to be heated unevenly, part of the food being roasted and part of it being raw. FIG. 3 is a cross section view of a torch extension provided by the embodiment of the present application, in which there is a flame in the tubular body. As shown in FIG. 3, a diffusion trajectory of the flame in the tubular body 11 with a cylindrical shape is basically conical, the interior part of the tubular body 11 keeps a certain distance from the flame, and the cross-sectional area of the flame increases with the diffusion of the flame, that is the part closer to an outlet end of the tubular body 11 (that is the end far away from the rear inlet 111 along a longitudinal direction) is burned more by the flame. The cross-sectional area of the flame near the outlet end of tubular body 11 is the largest, close to the cross-sectional area of tubular body 11.

With the diffusion of the flame, its temperature is reduced and the flame burns evenly in the tubular body 11. As a result, the temperature of the flame at the outlet end of the tubular body 11 is much lower and more uniform than that discharged from the torch 20. When the flame ejects from the outlet end of the tubular body 11, it has become a diffuse, uniform and low-temperature flame.

Configuring the tubular body 11 of the torch extension 10 as a cylindrical shape helps a flame to dissipate heat in the tubular body 11, thereby achieving the purpose of reducing the temperature of the flame. After testing, an original temperature of the flame discharged from the torch 20 is about 1300 degrees centigrade, and after using the torch extension 10 of the embodiment of the present application, the temperature of the flame ejected from the outlet end of the tubular body 11 is about 800 degrees centigrade.

At the same time, because the interior of the tubular body 11, and in particular to the central portion of the tubular body 11, keeps a certain distance from the flame, that is, not the whole tubular body 11 is burned, so as to achieve the purpose of heat insulation between the flame and the torch extension, which can reduce the user's accidental burning due to the high temperature to a certain extent.

In the prior art, to achieve the purpose of heat insulation between the flame and the torch extension, a layer of liner is included inside the vertebral body of the torch attachment to insulate heat between the flame and the combustion cone. The liner is a paper material, and if it is ignited, a certain smoke will be generated, especially when the user uses the torch improperly, it is easy to accidentally trigger the fire alarm at home. However, the practice shows that the layer of liner has little heat insulation function, the liner will be burned out directly when the torch is used in the previous several times, and the liner will not remain in the torch attachment.

Compared with the prior art, in the case of achieving the same heat insulation technical effect, the embodiment of the present application cancels the liner of thermal insulation, therefore simplifying the structure of the torch extension.

The torch extension 10 further comprises a bracket 13 mounted exteriorly on and around the tubular body 11 and the connection head 12, which comprises a plurality of horizontal rings 131 and a plurality of rods 132, an upper part of each rod 132 is composed of a vertical rod and is used for connecting a plurality of horizontal rings 131, and a lower part of each rod 132 is composed of a plurality of broken line rods and is used for connecting the tubular body 11 and the connection head 12. A plurality of horizontal rings 131 are arranged at regular intervals along the vertical direction, and a plurality of rods 132 are arranged at regular intervals along the circumferential direction of the horizontal rings 131. The bracket 13 is made of a lightweight, thin metal having a low thermal mass, preferably stainless steel.

As shown in FIGS. 1-3, the bracket 13 consists of three horizontal rings 131 and four rods 132, an upper part of each rod 132 is a vertical rod and is connected to one point on each ring of the three horizontal rings 131. A lower part of each rod 132 is composed of three broken line rods, wherein the first broken line rod is mounted on the connection head 12 along the vertical direction, the second broken line rod is partially mounted on the bottom of the tubular body along the horizontal direction, and partially extends outward from the bottom of tubular body 11 to connect with the upper part of each rod 132, the third broken line rod is connected to the first broken line rod and the second broken line rod.

With the diffusion of the flame, the tubular body 11 is burned, which makes the external temperature of the tubular body 11 very high. To further reduce the user's accidental burning due to the high temperature and overcome the defect that the outer surface of the torch attachment in the prior art has no protective devices, the embodiment of the present application provides a bracket 13 mounted exteriorly on and around the torch extension 10, so as to keep a certain distance between the user and the torch extension and ensure the safety of the user. When the torch 20 and the torch extension 10 are working, even if the tubular body 11 is burned, the user can directly grasp the bracket 13 to pick up the torch extension 10 without being burned by the high temperature at the external temperature of the tubular body 11.

Referring to FIG. 4, FIG. 4 is a cross section view of a torch extension provided by the embodiment of the present application, in which there is no flame in the tubular body. As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, an external part of the connection head 12 has an adjustable fastener 14, and an interior part of connection head 12 has a threshold (not shown in the figures), which enables the adjustable collar 22 to be stuck at a specific position inside the connection head 12. The adjustable fastener 14 is tightened when the adjustable collar 22 reaches the position of the threshold, so as to fix the connection between the adjustable collar 22 and the connection head 12.

The installation method of the torch extension comprises the following steps: firstly, loosen the adjustable fastener 14, and then insert the adjustable collar 22 directly into the connection head 12, when the adjustable collar 22 just reaches the position of the threshold, that is, the best installation position, at this time, tighten the adjustable fastener 14 to fix the adjustable collar 22 in the connection head 12, so as to complete the installation. After testing, the installation takes no more than half a minute.

In the prior art, a torch attachment comprises an adjustable collar, a tubular extension sleeve fixedly connected to the adjustable collar, and a plurality of rigid mounting arms extending between the sleeve. The installation method of the torch attachment comprises steps: installing the adjustable collar, putting the tubular extension sleeve on the collar to make the tubular extension sleeve fixedly connected with the collar, and adjusting the position of the combustion cone with a plurality of rigid mounting arms. The whole installation process takes more than five minutes.

Compared with the prior art, the embodiment of the present application simplifies the installation process of the torch extension. The collar and the tubular extension sleeve do not need to be installed separately, and a plurality of rigid mounting arms are not required to adjust the position.

Referring to FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, FIG. 5 is a schematic structural diagram of a torch extension provided by the embodiment of the present application, in which a screwdriver is used to screw on/off the screw. FIG. 6 is a front view of a torch extension provided by the embodiment of the present application.

As shown in FIG. 5, a top of the tubular body 11 (that is the outlet end of tubular body 11) is open, and the torch extension has an openwork wire mesh 15 obliquely mounted at the outlet end of the tubular body 11 to cover the top of the tubular body 11 and diffuse the flame ejected from the outlet end of the tubular body 11, and four screws 16 are arranged at equal intervals on an external surface of the outlet end of the tubular body 11 to fix the openwork wire mesh 15. The four screws 16 are removable, and can be screwed on/off with a screwdriver, therefore the openwork wire mesh 15 is detachably connected to the outlet end of the tubular body 11. Referring to FIG. 2, the openwork wire mesh 15 is one parallel to the opposite end of the tubular body 11.

When the user needs to replace the openwork wire mesh 15, first screw off the four screws 16, replace with a new openwork wire mesh, and then screw on the four screws 16.

Compared with the prior art, the mesh in the torch extension provided by the present application is detachable, and it is very convenient to replace the mesh. When the mesh is aging, rusty or unusable, only the mesh needs to be replaced, so the use of the torch extension will not be affected.

The embodiments of the present application have been described in detail above, specific embodiments are used in this document to explain the principles and implementation of the present application, the descriptions of the above embodiments are only used to help understand the method and core ideas of the present application; at the same time, persons of ordinary skill in the art may change the specific implementation and application scope according to the idea of the present application, in summary, the content of the present description should not be construed as a limitation on the present application.
