DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 7 thereof, a new game assembly embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 7, the tossing game assembly 10 generally comprises a plurality of set objects 12 and a plurality of tossing articles 14. Each set object 12 has opposed ends 16, which are substantially parallel planar so that the set objects 12 are positionable in a set of rows 18, wherein a first one of the rows 18 is positioned on a ground surface 20 and additional rows 18, if added, are stacked sequentially upon the first one of the rows 18 and decrease in number of set objects 12 by one set object 12 for each additional row 18. The set objects 12 may be cylindrical, as is shown in the figures, cuboid, frustum shaped, polyhedral, or the like, so long as the set object 12 has opposed ends 16 which are substantially parallel planar to one another.

Each tossing article 14 has a planar surface 22 so that a tossing article 14 of a first player is stackable atop the set of rows 18. A second player thus is positioned to toss a tossing article 14 of the second player at the set of rows 18 and the tossing article 14 of the first player with the intention of knocking the tossing article 14 of the first player to the ground surface 20. The plurality of set objects 12 comprises two, five, or nine set objects 12. The plurality of set objects 12 typically will comprise five set objects 12, as is shown in FIG. 1. The five set objects 12 then can be positioned in a row 18 of three set objects 12 with a row 18 of two set objects 12 positions upon it, as is shown in FIG. 4. Typically, the plurality of tossing articles 14 numbers one more than the plurality of set objects 12. Thus, six players each would have a tossing article 14, with one of the tossing articles 14 being positioned atop the five set objects 12 for a tossing game, as is depicted in FIGS. 3-6.

The tossing articles 14 may be sized and shaped substantially as are the set objects 12, as is shown in FIG. 1, wherein the tossing articles 14 and the set objects 12 are cylindrical. The present invention also anticipates the tossing articles 14 having other shapes, such as, but not limited to, substantially spherical but having a planar surface 22, cuboid, or the like. As is shown in FIG. 1, the tossing articles 14 and the set objects 12 comprise cylindrical metal cans. The present invention also anticipates the tossing articles 14 and the set objects 12 comprising wood, plastic, or the like. The present invention further anticipates the tossing articles 14 and the set objects 12 being differentiated, such as by means of coloring, shape, or the like. Additionally anticipated is each tossing article 14 being differentiated from the other tossing articles 14, such as by means of color, numbering, or the like.

The present invention also anticipates a tossing game playing kit 24, which comprises the tossing game assembly 10, according to the specification above, and a die 26. The die 26 is configured to be rolled to determine an aspect of a tossing game, such as a first player. The tossing game playing kit 24 also may include an instruction 28, as is shown in FIG. 1, which comprises at least one set of rules 30 for playing a tossing game.

In use, the tossing game playing kit 24 enables a method for playing a tossing game 32, which entails provision of a tossing game playing kit 24, according to the specification above. A first step 34 of the method 32 is positioning respective set objects 12 in a first one of the rows 18 on a ground surface 20. A second step 36 of the method 32 is optionally stacking additional rows 18 sequentially upon the first one and decreasing the number of set objects 12 by one set object 12 for each additional row 18. A third step 38 of the method 32 is rolling the die 26 to determine a first player of the tossing game. A fourth step 40 of the method 32 is stacking a tossing article 14 of the first player atop the set of rows 18. A fifth step 42 of the method 32 is tossing a tossing article 14 of a second player at the set of rows 18 and the tossing article 14 of the first player with the intention of knocking the tossing article 14 of the first player to the ground surface 20. The method 32 may include additional steps, per the instruction 28, for retrieving tossing articles 14, restacking of the set objects 12, running of the second player to a specified position, and tagging of the second player by the first player prior to reaching the specified position.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
