Claims
- 1. A method of manufacturing touch panel apparatus having a substrate with a surface capable of propagating surface acoustic waves; comprising the steps of:
- applying to said substrate surface at least one SAWreflecting element formed of a frit composition and thereafter heating said first composition to devitrify it and bond said element to said substrate surface.
- 2. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of:
- applying said frit composition in flowable condition.
- 3. The method of claim 2 wherein said frit composition comprises about 10% by weight of a nucleation-accelerating additive.
- 4. The method of claim 3 wherein said nucleation-accelerating additive is a refractory material.
- 5. The method of claim 4 wherein said refractory material is a powder.
- 6. The method of claim 5 wherein said refractory powder is zirconium oxide.
- 7. The method of claim 1 wherein said elements are applied to said substrate surface in a selected pattern through a porous printing screen.
