The present disclosure relates to a towel with at least one inner region that is protected from the outside.
Utility model DE 20 2010 009 437 U1 discloses a towel with an area on the inside that is protected from the outside. One of the inner surfaces is made of a material for drying body parts. The area has at least one reversible closure means, namely a zipper for drying of body parts is accessible by means of the inner surfaces. DE 20 2010 009 437 U1 thus describes a towel by means of which there is a clean area on the inside which has not previously come into contact with sweat, viruses or bacteria from other people. If the protected area is opened via the zipper, for example, the face can be dried by the inner surface of the woel. As soon as the face has been dried, the area can be closed again and is protected from the outside. The towel of DE 20 2010 009 437 U1 is intended to effectively prevent an infection via the mucous membranes when the face is dried. However, this task can only be effectively solved if the towel is only moistened on its outside, i.e. the outside of the protected area. As soon as moisture penetrates through the water-permeable material of the protected area, germs etc. can easily get onto the inner surface.
DE 20 2017 002 807 U1 discloses a sauna towel with at least one area on the inside that is protected from the outside, one inner surface of which is made of a material for drying body parts and the area has a reversible closure means by means of at least an inner surface for drying body parts is accessible. A protective insert should provide protection between the two towel layers to prevent dirt from being transported further. This is to ensure that contamination from any possible surface cannot penetrate to the user using the towel.
DE 72 11 435 U also discloses a bath towel which consists of two layers of material which are quilted at their edges and between which a thin, impermeable film, preferably made of plastic, is arranged. The towel can be stitched over its surface in a manner known per se by a few seams in order to fix its three layers.
The present disclosure is based on the object of creating a towel that eliminates the aforementioned disadvantages and which, compared to the hand and bath towels shown, is simple and flexible in its handling.
The above object is achieved by the towel as described and claimed. The present towel comprises at least one area lying inward that is protected from the outside. At least one inner surface of the towel is made of a material for drying body parts and the area for drying body parts of the at least one inner surface is accessible by via at least one reversible closure means.
The at least one inner surface of the towel is watertight towards the outside of the area. The protected area is formed by at least one watertight connection from a folded area of the towel or is connected to the material of the towel and is made up of joints aligned laterally and longitudinally on the towel. The area on its open side preferably has at least one closure means and there are openings on the side edges of the area, by means of which the hands can be at least partially reached through and the at least one inner surface of the area can thereby be folded outwards. In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the at least one inner surface is formed from one or more materials that are waterproof on one side and soft and/or fluffy on the opposite side.
In a further advantageous embodiment, the at least one inner surface is formed from an antibacterial material and/or has an antibacterial coating.
In a further advantageous embodiment, the towel has a high/low weave as the type of finishing. The inner surface, at which the additional material is preferably sewn in, may include deep weaving so that this area becomes thinner.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the grammage of the non-waterproof material in the protected area of the towel in relation to the fabric of the remaining area is reduced by the weight of the closure means and the weight of the waterproof material. Further, the grammage of the non-waterproof material is preferably reduced by the weight of the seams in the protected area.
Conversely, the grammage of the non-waterproof fabric in the remaining area of the towel in relation to the non-waterproof fabric in the protected area can be increased by the weight of the at least one closure means and by the weight of the waterproof material. It is also advantageous that the grammage of the non-waterproof fabric in the area is additionally increased by the weight of the seams.
Further goals, features, advantages and possible uses of the towel result from the following description of an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing.
As shown in
In the present exemplary embodiment, the protected area 10 is formed from a folded area of the towel 1 by at least one watertight connection 12. It also being possible for the area to be connected to the material of the towel 1 by at least one watertight connection 12. Most preferably, the connection 12 is formed by a seam that is watertight.
In addition, it is also advantageous to design any closure means (e.g. the zipper, Velcro, etc.) to be waterproof.
Furthermore,
Openings 1030 are provided on the side edges 103′, 103″ of the area 10, by means of which the hands 2 can be at least partially reach through and the at least one inner surface 100′, 100″ of the area 10 can thereby be folded outwards.
The design of the towel 1 is not limited to the preferred embodiments specified above. Rather, a large number of design variations are conceivable which make use of the solution shown even with a fundamentally different design.
