Claims
- 1. A toy vehicle comprising a frame, an electric motor in said frame, at least one drive wheel rotatably mounted in the frame, transmission means for drivingly connecting said motor to said drive wheel, three separate current collector strips on the vehicle for collecting current from a ground strip and two associated current supply strips in a track on which the vehicle is to be used; and means for supplying current of a predetermined polarity to said motor from said current collector strips regardless of the polarity of current in the current supply and ground strips, said means including a diode bridge connected at its output terminals between opposite sides of the motor and at its input terminals to two of the current collector strips; and a pair of oppositely arranged diodes, respectively connected between the third of said current collector strips and opposite sides of said motor.
- 2. A toy vehicle comprising a frame, an electric motor in said frame, a drive wheel rotatably mounted in the frame, transmission means drivingly connecting said motor to said drive wheel and current supply means for supplying current of predetermined polarity from a track to said motor including first, second and third current collector strips mounted on the vehicle for contacting a track on which it is placed; a four diode rectifier bridge in the vehicle having two input junctions and two output junctions, said input junction being respectively connected to the first and second current collector strips and said output junctions being respectively connected to opposite sides of the motor; and a pair of additional, oppositely arranged diode rectifiers respectively connected between said third current collector and opposite sides of said motor whereby current of predetermined polarity is supplied to the motor regardless of the polarity of current collected by said first and second collector strips.
- 3. A toy vehicle as defined in claim 2 wherein said transmission means has a step down gear ratio.
- 4. In a toy vehicle game including a guide track defining a pair of lanes along which two toy vehicles may move in side-by-side relation and having a pair of laterally spaced current supply contact strips and a ground strip similarly arrayed in each lane thereof, each of said current supply strips being electrically connected to a corresponding strip in the other lane and to which current of varying value and reversible polarity is supplied, wherein the improvement comprises a drone vehicle for use on the track including a drive wheel, a drive motor, transmission means drivingly connecting the motor to the drive wheel, three current collectors positioned on the vehicle to be respectively associated with the current supply strips and the ground strip, a four diode rectifier bridge in the vehicle having two input junctions and two output junctions, said input junctions being respectively connected to the two current collectors associated with the current supply strips and said output junctions being respectively connected to opposite sides of the motor; and a pair of additional oppositely arranged diode rectifiers respectively connected between said third current collector and opposite sides of said motor whereby current of predetermined polarity is supplied to the motor regardless of the polarity collected by said first and second collectors to always drive the vehicle in the same direction.
