Abstract
A training and exercising assembly for training while stepping, walking, or running includes a frame and a pair of rollers. Each roller is rotationally engaged to and extends between opposed side beams of the frame. An endless belt is positioned around and is operationally engaged to the pair of rollers. A motor is operationally engaged to at least one of the rollers and is positioned to selectively rotate the at least one of the rollers to rotate the endless belt. A user can selectively step, walk, and run upon an exposed surface of the endless belt. A plurality of attachment elements is engaged to the frame and extends around the endless belt. Each attachment element is selectively engageable a respective exercise device. The respective exercise device is removably engaged to the frame and is positioned for engagement by the user positioned on the endless belt.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
(1) Field of the Invention

The disclosure relates to exercising assemblies and more particularly pertains to a new exercising assembly for training while stepping, walking, or running. The present invention discloses an exercising assembly comprising a treadmill having attachment elements for a variety of accessories, such as speed bags, punching bags, and the like, so that the accessories are usable while using the treadmill


(2) Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 1.98

The prior art relates to exercising assemblies. The prior art comprises treadmills of a variety of configurations. What is lacking in the prior art is an exercising assembly comprising a treadmill having attachment elements for a variety of exercise accessories, such as speed bags, punching bags, and the like, so that the exercise accessories are usable while using the treadmill.


BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a frame and a pair of rollers. Each roller is rotationally engaged to and extends between opposed side beams of the frame. An endless belt is positioned around and is operationally engaged to the pair of rollers. A motor is operationally engaged to at least one of the rollers and is positioned to selectively rotate the at least one of the rollers to rotate the endless belt. An exposed surface of the endless belt is configured to be selectively stepped, walked, and run upon by a user. A plurality of attachment elements is engaged to the frame and extends around the endless belt. Each attachment element is configured to selectively engage a respective exercise device, such as a punching bag, resistance band, and the like. The respective exercise device is removably engaged to the frame and is positioned for engagement by the user positioned on the endless belt.


There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.


The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 8 thereof, a new exercising assembly embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.


As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 8, the training and exercising assembly 10 generally comprises a frame 12 and a pair of rollers 14. A plurality of wheels 16 is engaged to a bottom 18 of the frame 12. The wheels 16 are configured to allow locomotion of the frame 12 on a surface.


Each roller 14 is rotationally engaged to and extends between opposed side beams 20 of the frame 12. An endless belt 22 is positioned around and is operationally engaged to the pair of rollers 14. A panel 24 is engaged to and extends between the opposed side beams 20. The panel 24 extends from proximate to the rollers 14 and is positioned beneath an exposed surface 26 of the endless belt 22. The panel 24 is configured to support a mass of a user positioned on the endless belt 22.


The exposed surface 26 has opposed side edges 28 and opposed end limits 30. The opposed side edges 28 are separated by at least 60 centimeters and the opposed end limits 30 are separated by at least 150 centimeters. The opposed side edges 28 may be separated by 122 centimeters and the opposed end limits 30 may be separated 183 centimeters. The exposed surface 26 is sized larger than prior art treadmills and allows for additional movement of the user.


A motor 32 is operationally engaged to at least one of the rollers 14 and is positioned to selectively rotate the at least one of the rollers 14 to rotate the endless belt 22. The motor 32 is reversible so that the endless belt 22 is positioned for reversible rotation. The exposed surface 26 of the endless belt 22 is configured to be selectively stepped, walked, and run upon by a user.


A plurality of attachment elements 34 is engaged to the frame 12 and extends around the endless belt 22. Each attachment element 34 comprises one of a recess 36, a ring 38, a post (not shown), or the like. Each attachment element 34 is configured to selectively engage a respective exercise device 40, such as a speed bag 42, a resistance band 44, and the like. The respective exercise device 40 is removably engaged to the frame 12 and is positioned for engagement by the user positioned on the endless belt 22.


A housing 46, which defines an interior space 48, is engaged to a front 50 of the frame 12. Respective attachment elements 34 of the plurality of attachment elements 34 are engaged to an upper face 52 of the housing 46. The motor 32 is engaged to the housing 46, is positioned in the interior space 48, and is operationally engaged to a respective roller 14 positioned proximate to the front 50 of the frame 12. A power module 54 is engaged to the housing 46 and is operationally engaged to the motor 32. The power module 54 is positioned to selectively power the motor 32. The power module 54 may comprise a power cord 56.


A controller 58 is engaged to the housing 46 and is operationally engaged to the power module 54 and the motor 32. The controller 58 is positioned to allow the user to set a direction of rotation and a speed of rotation of the endless belt 22.


The controller 58 comprises a receiver 60, which is configured to receive an audio signal from an electronic device of the user. A pair of speakers 62 is engaged to the housing 46 and is operationally engaged to the controller 58. The speakers 62 are configured to broadcast the audio signal.


As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, a post 64 is selectively insertable by a first end 66 into a respective recess 36. A fastener 68 is engaged to a second end 70 of the post 64 and is configured to selectively engage an electronic device of the user, such as a phone. The electronic device is removably engaged to the post 64 and is accessible to the user positioned on the endless belt 22.


In use, a respective exercise device 40 is engaged to the frame 12 or the housing 46 using a respective attachment element 34. For example, as shown in FIG. 6, a mitt stand 72 is engaged to the housing 46 using a respective recess 36. In another example, as shown in FIG. 7, a speed bag 42 is engaged to the frame 12 using a recess 36 positioned in a respective opposed side beam 20 of the frame 12. In yet another example, a mounted punching bag is positioned proximate to the front 50 of the frame 12, without being directly engaged to the frame 12 or the housing 46. The user then can engage the motor 32 to rotate the endless belt 22 and walk or run upon the endless belt 22 while engaging the respective exercise device 40.


Also shown in FIG. 7 are resistance bands 44 equipped with hand grips 74 are engaged to rings 38 positioned singly on the opposed side beams 20. The resistance bands 44 can be used for strength training while exercising on the endless belt 22. The training and exercising assembly 10 combines strength training and a cardiovascular workout while improving hand-eye coordination, timing, strike accuracy, strike power, and footwork.


With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.


Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims
  • 1. A training and exercising assembly comprising: a frame;a pair of rollers, each roller being rotationally engaged to and extending between opposed side beams of the frame;an endless belt positioned around and operationally engaged to the pair of rollers; a motor operationally engaged to at least one of the rollers, such that the motor is positioned for selectively rotating the at least one of the rollers for rotating the endless belt, wherein an exposed surface of the endless belt is configured for being selectively stepped, walked, and run upon by a user; anda plurality of attachment elements engaged to the frame and extending around the endless belt, each attachment element being configured for selectively engaging a respective exercise device, such that the respective exercise device is removably engaged to the frame and positioned for engagement by the user positioned on the endless belt.
  • 2. The training and exercising assembly of claim 1, further including a plurality of wheels engaged to a bottom of the frame, wherein the wheels are configured for locomotion of the frame on a surface.
  • 3. The training and exercising assembly of claim 1, further including a panel engaged to and extending between the opposed side beams, the panel extending from proximate to the rollers and being positioned beneath the exposed surface of the endless belt, wherein the panel is configured for supporting a mass of the user positioned on the endless belt.
  • 4. The training and exercising assembly of claim 1, wherein the exposed surface has opposed side edges and opposed end limits, the opposed side edges being separated by at least 60 centimeters and the opposed end limits being separated by at least 150 centimeters.
  • 5. The training and exercising assembly of claim 4, further including the opposed side edges being separated by 122 centimeters and the opposed end limits being separated 183 centimeters.
  • 6. The training and exercising assembly of claim 1, wherein the motor is reversible, such that the endless belt is positioned for reversible rotation.
  • 7. The training and exercising assembly of claim 1, wherein each attachment element comprises one of a recess, a ring, and a post.
  • 8. The training and exercising assembly of claim 6, further including a housing defining an interior space and being engaged to a front of the frame, respective attachment elements of the plurality of attachment elements being engaged to an upper face of the housing, the motor being engaged to the housing, positioned in the interior space, and operationally engaged to a respective roller positioned proximate to the front of the frame.
  • 9. The training and exercising assembly of claim 8, further including: a power module engaged to the housing and being operationally engaged to the motor, such that the power module is positioned for selectively powering the motor; anda controller engaged to the housing and being operationally engaged to the power module and the motor, such that the controller is positioned for setting a direction of rotation and a speed of rotation of the endless belt.
  • 10. The training and exercising assembly of claim 9, wherein the power module comprises a power cord.
  • 11. The training and exercising assembly of claim 9, further including: the controller comprising a receiver, wherein the receiver is configured for receiving an audio signal from an electronic device of the user; anda pair of speakers engaged to the housing and being operationally engaged to the controller, wherein the speakers are configured for broadcasting the audio signal
  • 12. The training and exercising assembly of claim 7, further including: a post selectively insertable by a first end into a respective recess; anda fastener engaged to a second end of the post and being configured for selectively engaging an electronic device of the user, such that the electronic device is removably engaged to the post and accessible to the user positioned on the endless belt.
  • 13. A training and exercising system comprising: a frame;a pair of rollers, each roller being rotationally engaged to and extending between opposed side beams of the frame;an endless belt positioned around and operationally engaged to the pair of rollers; a motor operationally engaged to at least one of the rollers, such that the motor is positioned for selectively rotating the at least one of the rollers for rotating the endless belt, wherein an exposed surface of the endless belt is configured for being selectively stepped, walked, and run upon by the user; anda plurality of attachment elements engaged to the frame and extending around the endless belt; anda plurality of exercise devices, each exercise device being engageable to a respective attachment element, such that the exercise device is removably engaged to the frame and positioned for engagement by the user positioned on the endless belt.
  • 14. A training and exercising assembly comprising: a frame;a plurality of wheels engaged to a bottom of the frame, wherein the wheels are configured for locomotion of the frame on a surface;a pair of rollers, each roller being rotationally engaged to and extending between opposed side beams of the frame;an endless belt positioned around and operationally engaged to the pair of rollers;a panel engaged to and extending between the opposed side beams, the panel extending from proximate to the rollers and being positioned beneath an exposed surface of the endless belt, wherein the panel is configured for supporting a mass of a user positioned on the endless belt, the exposed surface having opposed side edges and opposed end limits, the opposed side edges being separated by at least 60 centimeters and the opposed end limits being separated by at least 150 centimeters, the opposed side edges being separated by 122 centimeters and the opposed end limits being separated 183 centimeters;a motor operationally engaged to at least one of the rollers, such that the motor is positioned for selectively rotating the at least one of the rollers for rotating the endless belt, wherein the exposed surface of the endless belt is configured for being selectively stepped, walked, and run upon by the user, the motor being reversible, such that the endless belt is positioned for reversible rotation;a plurality of attachment elements engaged to the frame and extending around the endless belt, each attachment element being configured for selectively engaging a respective exercise device, such that the respective exercise device is removably engaged to the frame and positioned for engagement by the user positioned on the endless belt, each attachment element comprising one of a recess, a ring, and a post;a housing defining an interior space and being engaged to a front of the frame, respective attachment elements of the plurality of attachment elements being engaged to an upper face of the housing, the motor being engaged to the housing, positioned in the interior space, and operationally engaged to a respective roller positioned proximate to the front of the frame;a power module engaged to the housing and being operationally engaged to the motor, such that the power module is positioned for selectively powering the motor, the power module comprising a power cord;a controller engaged to the housing and being operationally engaged to the power module and the motor, such that the controller is positioned for setting a direction of rotation and a speed of rotation of the endless belt, the controller comprising a receiver, wherein the receiver is configured for receiving an audio signal from an electronic device of the user;a pair of speakers engaged to the housing and being operationally engaged to the controller, wherein the speakers are configured for broadcasting the audio signal;a post selectively insertable by a first end into a respective recess; anda fastener engaged to a second end of the post and being configured for selectively engaging an electronic device of the user, such that the electronic device is removably engaged to the post and accessible to the user positioned on the endless belt.
