Claims
- 1. A method of producing a transfer film for providing pictures onto a molded product simultaneously with molding comprising:
- dispersinq a water-insoluble thermoplastic resin or thermosetting resin in a dispersion medium to create a water-dispersed emulsion;
- coating said resin in said water-dispersed emulsion on a substrate film;
- drying said film until the coated layer solidifies to form a release layer;
- diluting at least one of paint and ink with an organic solvent;
- forming a transfer layer on said release layer, where said transfer layer comprises said at least one of paint or ink diluted with said organic solvent, for forming a desirable picture; and
- evaporating said solvent until said transfer layer turns to a solid film.
- 2. A method of producing a transfer film for providing pictures onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 1, wherein said coating resin is thermoplastic resin.
- 3. A method of producing a transfer film for providing pictures onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 1, wherein said coating resin is thermosetting resin.
- 4. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 1, wherein said water-insoluble thermoplastic resin is polyvinyl chloride.
- 5. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 4, wherein said polyvinyl chloride has the degree of polymerization ranging from 700 to 2000 on average and contains 5 to 30 parts by weight of a plasticizer.
- 6. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 1, wherein said forming a transfer layer further comprises:
- forming a strippable surface protect layer, where said transfer film is stripped by pulling said substrate off said release layer so that the stripping is performed between said release layer and strippable layer;
- forming a picture layer in which a desirable picture is formed; and
- forming an adhesive layer for allowing said transfer layer to adhere to a molded product.
- 7. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 1, wherein the thickness of the film .DELTA.x (cm) is related to thermal conductivity k (cal/sec.multidot.cm.multidot..degree.C.) as a formula of k/.DELTA.x.gtoreq.3.0.times.10.sup.-2 (cal/sec.multidot.cm.sup.2 .multidot..degree.C.).
- 8. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding comprising the steps of:
- crosslinking to polymerizing at least one resin component in a dispersing medium as particles which have a predetermined diameter;
- simutaneously dispersing said crosslinked and polymerized resin component in said dispersing medium;
- applying said dispersing medium in which said resin component is dispersed onto a substrate film comprising a water-insoluble thermoplastic resin;
- drying said substrate film to remove said dispersing medium to form a release layer;
- applying one of inks and paints diluted by an organic solvent to form a transfer layer onto said release layer; and
- drying said transfer layer to remove said organic solvent until said transfer layer turns to a solid film.
- 9. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, wherein said diameter is from 0.001 to 0.1 .mu.m.
- 10. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, wherein said dispersed resin component comprises thermoplastic resin.
- 11. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, wherein said dispersed resin component comprises thermosetting resin.
- 12. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 11, wherein said crosslinked resin has a three-dimensional crosslinked molecular structure.
- 13. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, wherein said dispersing medium applying step, said drying substrate film drying step and said transfer layer drying step are performed under a temperature which is lower than the softening temperature of said substrate film.
- 14. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 13, wherein said dispersion medium includes a film forming aid material.
- 15. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, further comprising providing patterned asperities on the surface of said release layer before said one of inks and paints applying step.
- 16. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, wherein the thickness of said substrate film .DELTA..times.(cm) is related to thermal conductivity k (cal/sec.multidot.cm.multidot..degree.C.) as a formula of k/.DELTA..gtoreq.3.0.times.10.sup.-2 (cal/sec.multidot.cm.sup.2 .multidot..degree.C.).
- 17. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, wherein said substrate film comprising polyvinyl chloride having the degree of polymerization ranging from 700 to 2000 on average and containing 5 to 30 parts by weight of a plasticizer.
- 18. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, wherein said dispersing medium is applied onto said substrate film so that the amount of said release layer is from 0.1 to 10 g/m.sup.2 when it is dried.
- 19. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, wherein said transfer layer forming step comprises:
- forming a strippable layer on said release layer, which is stripped from said release layer; and
- forming a picture layer on said strippable layer, in which desirable pictures are formed.
- 20. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 19, wherein said transfer layer forming step further comprises forming an adhesive layer on said picture layer, which allows said substrate film to adhere to a molded product.
- 21. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, wherein said transfer layer forming step comprising:
- forming a picture layer on said strippable layer, in which desirable pictures are formed; and
- forming an adhesive layer on said picture layer, which allows said substrate film to adhere to a molded product.
- 22. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, wherein said dispersion medium comprising water.
- 23. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 22, wherein said dispersion medium further comprising alcohol.
- 24. A method of producing a transfer film for providing picture onto a molded product simultaneously with molding according to claim 8, further comprising coating the surface of said particles with an emulsifier before said dispersing step.
