Claims
- 1. An anhydrous cosmetic stick composition with improved transfer resistance comprising, by weight of the total composition:
- a) 10-70% of a volatile solvent,
- b) 0.1-40% of a polymeric organosiloxane emulsifier containing at least one hydrophilic radical and at least one lipophilic radical and having the general formula M.sub.x Q.sub.y wherein each M is independently selected from the group consisting of a trimethylsiloxy endcap unit and a substituted trimethylsiloxy endcap unit wherein the substituent is selected from the group consisting of a hydrophilic radical and a lipophilic radical, wherein the lipophilic radical is a C.sub.1-40 straight or branched chain alkyl or hydroxy-polypropyleneoxy, and the hydrophilic radical is selected from the group consisting of hydroxy-polyethyleneoxy and hydroxyl; and Q is a quadrifunctional siloxy unit having the empirical formula SiO.sub.2, x is 1-5000, and y is 1-5000 with the proviso that the compound contains at least one lipophilic radical and at least one hydrophilic radical;
- c) 0.1-40% by weight of the total composition of a cosmetically acceptable wax,
- d) 0.1-30% by weight of the total composition of a cosmetically acceptable oil; and
- e) 5-50% of particulate matter having a particle size of 0.02 to 200 microns.
- 2. The composition of claim 1 wherein the HLB of the organosiloxane emulsifier is from 2 to 18.
- 3. The composition of claim 1 wherein the hydrophilic radical is hydroxy-polyethyleneoxy.
- 4. The composition of claim 1 wherein the organosiloxane emulsifier is of the formula: ##STR6## wherein HP is a hydrophilic radical and LP is a lipophilic radical.
- 5. The composition of claim 1 wherein the wax has a melting point of 30 to 120.degree. C.
- 6. The composition of claim 1 wherein the volatile solvent has a viscosity of 0.5 to 25 centistokes at 25.degree. C.
- 7. The composition of claim 1 wherein the volatile solvent is cyclomethicone.
- 8. The composition of claim 1 wherein the cosmetically acceptable oil comprises a fluoro-guerbet citrate ester.
- 9. The composition of claim 8 wherein the fluoro-guerbet citrate ester is fluoro-octyldodecyl meadowfoamate.
- 10. The composition of claim 1 wherein the cosmetically acceptable wax is an animal wax, plant wax, mineral wax, silicone wax, or petroleum wax.
- 11. The composition of claim 10 wherein the cosmetically acceptable was is a silicone wax.
- 12. The composition of claim 10 wherein the cosmetically acceptable wax is a mineral wax.
- 13. The composition of claim 6 wherein the volatile solvent is selected from the group consisting of a linear silicone, a cyclic silicone, a paraffinic hydrocarbon, or mixtures thereof.
- 14. The composition of claim 1 wherein the oil is an ester of the formula RCO--OR' wherein R and R' are each independently a straight or branched chain C.sub.1-50 alkyl, alkenyl, or alkoxyalkyl.
- 15. The composition of claim 1 wherein the oil is a glyceryl ester of fatty acid.
- 16. The composition of claim 1 wherein the oil is a nonvolatile nonfluorinated silicone.
