Transformable Wrap in Multiple Designs

Abstract

An article of clothing that is engineered to be configured, when worn, in a variety of styles, depending on the desired fit on the part of an individual. One feature of the article of the present invention provides for a wraparound/sarong that is capable of being configured in at least four different variations, with each variation being distinctive in how the extreme ends of the sleeves are united and the location of where each united ends are positioned.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

This application relates generally to the field of the beach fashion industry within the productive area for the national touristic sector. Specifically, in wraparound/sarong dressmaking to be used by the female population as a main accessory, due to its functionality and versatility, for their daily activities.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In the beach fashion industry, the wraparound/sarong has been experiencing a significant boom with the use of soft and flexible materials, experimenting with fun colors and aiming to be used in combination with other clothes. However, even though there are a great variety of wraparound/sarong designs, the present invention is unique, due to its cutting concept design and dressmaking features. It marks new trends by managing to provide functionality and versatility to the beach fashion industry as well as helping to ensure that the feminine sector of the family economy is not compromised when buying a product with the possibility of being transformed into multiple different designs and, at the same time, is the perfect complements to other clothes and related accessories. There exists a need in the art to deliver such a fashion product.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention provides a novel article of clothing for an individual, comprising at least two straps, the straps connected at a midway point on a top surface of a square piece of fabric, the midway point on the top surface being within a depression cutout to accommodate the individual's head, wherein the head protrudes between the at least two straps.

FIG. 6 shows a fourth configuration of the wraparound/sarong wherein the extreme ends of the fabric are pulled over the shoulders and united at the back of the neck of the individual.

FIG. 7 shows an array of configurations of the wraparound/sarong as displayed on an individual.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The loose configuration of the original design of the present invention provides for a wraparound/sarong with at least two straps in conjunction with wide sleeves in the garment, as can be viewed in the figures. As seen in FIG. 1, the front view of the wraparound/sarong of the present invention allows for specific configurations of the clothing article, provided certain measurements are maintained within the fabric. Length A is considered the total length of the article and may be from about 65 to about 85 cm in length (not including fringes). Preferably, length A is between 75 cm and 80 cm. Length B is from about 20 cm to about 35 cm, with a preferred distance of between 25 cm and 30 cm. Length C is from about 15 cm to about 30 cm and, preferably, between 20 cm and 25 cm. Length D is from about 10 cm to about 30 cm, preferably, between 12 cm and 20 cm. Length E is from about 20 cm to about 35 cm, preferably, between 22 cm and 29 cm. Length F is from about 25 cm to about 40 cm, preferably, between 24 cm and 32 cm. Length G is from about 4 cm to about 25 cm, preferably, between 12 cm and 18 cm.

As seen in FIG. 2, the article of clothing is initially worn by an individual inserting her head in between the at least two straps along the top surface of the garment. In this embodiment, the wraparound/sarong is loosely hung from the shoulders of the individual as the each strap is positioned over each shoulder.

As seen in FIG. 3, optionally, a more tight-fitting design may be achieved by taking the ends of the right and left sleeves, at the extreme ends of each, and bringing the fabric to the back of the individual, with uniting each of the sleeves by way of a knot or bow. Such a configuration provides for a smooth front of the garment.

In FIG. 4, an alternative embodiment is described that provides for a similar tight-fighting form, which is achieved by gathering the hanging corners of the garment, at the extreme ends of the sleeves, and bringing them together in the front of the individual. The ends are united in a similar way as described in previous figures, either by way of a knot or bow, or some other feature that will tie the ends together.

As seen in FIG. 5, an alternative embodiment is further described, with a different assembly adjusted more to the shape of the individual's body. The assembly is achieved by bringing the hanging extreme ends of the right and left sleeves to the back of the individual and uniting these ends in a similar way as described in previous figures, either by way of a knot or bow, or some other feature that will tie the ends together.

As seen in FIG. 6, an alternative configuration provides for the article to be further arranged by gathering the fabric from the sleeves and bringing the extreme ends of the right and left sleeves to the upper back/lower neck area of the individual. The ends are united in a similar way as described in previous figures, either by way of a knot or bow, or some other feature that will tie the ends together.

In FIG. 7, a variety of embodiments are described in order to exemplify that many configurations of the wraparound/sarong of the present invention.

Each feature disclosed in this specification may be replaced by an alternative feature serving the same, equivalent, or similar purpose. Thus, unless expressly stated otherwise, each feature disclosed is only an example of a generic series of equivalent or similar features. For example the terms “a,” “an,” and “the” include plural references unless the content clearly dictates otherwise. Additionally, the term “at least” preceding a series of elements is to be understood as referring to every element in the series. An article of clothing for an individual, comprising at least two straps, the straps connected at a midway point on a top surface of a square piece of fabric, the midway point on the top surface being within a depression cutout to accommodate the individual's head, wherein the head protrudes between the at least two straps.
