Transmission apparatus and transmission method

Abstract

The present invention provides a transmission apparatus and method which realize a redial function and prevents the leakage of transmission information to the outside by inhibiting the display of the information including a destination to which retransmission is made, when it is determined that a predetermined condition is satisfied, whereby security can be enhanced.

Claims

1. A transmission apparatus comprising: a transmitter retransmitting data to a destination when data transmission is not completed;a storage storing information about the destination;a display displaying the information stored by the storage; anda controller determining whether or not a predetermined condition is satisfied, wherein the controller inhibits the display of the information by the display when it determines that the predetermined condition is satisfied.

2. The transmission apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the controller inhibits the retransmission by the transmitter when it determines that the predetermined condition is satisfied.

3. The transmission apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the controller determines that the condition is satisfied when data transmission is completed.

4. The transmission apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising: a document tray having a document for obtaining data placed thereon or discharged thereonto; anda sensor detecting whether or not a document is placed on the document tray;wherein the controller determines that the condition is satisfied when the document is removed from the document tray.

5. The transmission apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a sensor detecting whether or not a person is present at a vicinity of the transmission apparatus,wherein the controller determines that the condition is satisfied when a person is away from the transmission apparatus.

6. The transmission apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the controller counts a number of times of retransmission, and determines that the condition is satisfied when the number of times exceeds a prescribed threshold value.

7. The transmission apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the information is about a transmission history or a destination when retransmission is made, andthe controller inhibits the display of the information according to the destination.

8. The transmission apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the controller determines that the condition is satisfied when data transmission is completed.

9. The transmission apparatus according to claim 2, further comprising: a document tray having a document for obtaining data placed thereon or discharged thereonto; anda sensor detecting whether or not a document is placed on the document tray;wherein the controller determines that the condition is satisfied when the document is removed from the document tray.

10. The transmission apparatus according to claim 2, further comprising a sensor detecting whether a person is present at a vicinity of the transmission apparatus or not,wherein the controller determines that the condition is satisfied when a man is away from the transmission apparatus.

11. The transmission apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the controller counts a number of times of retransmission, and determines that the condition is satisfied when the number of times exceeds a prescribed threshold value.

12. The transmission apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the information is about a transmission history or a destination when retransmission is made, andthe controller inhibits the display of the information according to the destination.

13. A transmission apparatus comprising: a transmitter that retransmits data to a destination when data transmission is not completed;a storage that stores information about the destination;a display that displays the information stored by the storage;determining means for determining a predetermined condition, andinhibiting means for inhibiting the display of the information by the display when the determining means determines that the predetermined condition is satisfied.

14. The transmission apparatus according to claim 13, further comprising means for inhibiting the retransmission by the transmitter when the determining means determines that the predetermined condition is satisfied.

15. The transmission apparatus according to claim 14, wherein the determining means is configured to determine that the condition is satisfied when data transmission is completed.

16. A transmission method for storing information relating to a destination, displaying the stored information, and retransmitting the data to the destination when data transmission is not completed, comprising steps of determining a predetermined condition; andinhibiting the display of the information when it is determined that the predetermined condition is satisfied.

17. The transmission method according to claim 16, further comprising a step of inhibiting the retransmission when it is determined that the predetermined condition is satisfied.
