Claims
- 1. Transponder key for an electronic drive-away blocking device having at least a first status in which the drive-away blocking function is deactivated and a second status in which the drive-away blocking device is activated, wherein
a first memory area is provided in which status information can be stored which indicates a most recently implemented status.
- 2. The transponder key according to claim 1, further comprising:
a counter which is incremented whenever a transition takes place from the second status to the first status; and a second memory area in which a cycle counter information can be stored which indicates a count stored in said counter.
- 3. An electric drive-away blocking system, comprising:
an electronic drive-away blocking device having at least a first status, in which a drive-away blocking function is deactivated, and a second status, in which the drive-away blocking function is activated; a transponder which is adapted to communicate with said electronic drive-away blocking device, and which causes said drive-away blocking device to change its status; and a memory for storing information indicating a status most recently implemented by said transponder.
- 4. The electronic drive-away block system according to claim3, further comprising:
a counter which is incremented whenever a transition takes place from the second status to the first status; and a second memory area in which a cycle counter information can be stored which indicates a count stored in said counter.
- 5. A method of operating an electronic drive-away blocking system having an electronic drive-away blocking device that can be placed in either of a first status in which a drive-away blocking function is deactivated, or a second status in which the drive-away blocking function is activated, said method comprising:
actuating a change of status of said drive-away blocking device by a signal from a transponder key; and storing in a memory information indicative of a status most recently implemented in said drive-away blocking device via a signal from said transponder.
- 6. The method according to claim 5, further comprising:
providing a plurality of said transponder keys; for each transponder, providing a counter that is incremented whenever a transition occurs from the second status to the first status; and storing in a memory information indicating a current count in said counter.
