Claims
- 1) A method of treating a sexual desire disorder in a patient, comprising administering to a patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of flibanserin or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
- 2) A method according to claim 1, wherein the sexual desire disorder is selected from: Hypoactive sexual desire disorder, loss of sexual desire, lack of sexual desire, decreased sexual desire, inhibited sexual desire, loss of libido, libido disturbance, and frigidity:
- 3) A method according to claim 1, wherein the sexual desire disorder is selected from: Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder, loss of sexual desire, lack of sexual desire, decreased sexual desire, and inhibited sexual desire.
- 4) A method according to claim 1, wherein the sexual desire disorder is female sexual dysfunction.
- 5) A method according to claim 1, wherein flibanserin is administered in form of a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof selected from the salts formed by the acids selected from: succinic acid, hydrobromic acid, acetic acid, fumaric acid, maleic acid, methanesulphonic acid, lactic acid, phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, tartaric acid, citric acid, and mixtures thereof.
- 6) A method according to claim 1, wherein flibanserin, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, is administered in a dose range of from 0.1 to 400 mg per day.
