Claims
- 1. A mass of electrostatically chargeable plastic powder for triboelectric coating application having a particle size distribution (Mx) comprising in weight percent:
- 5%-100% smaller than 88 microns,
- 5% smaller than 15.56 microns and
- 6% smaller than 11 microns, and
- having an average particle size (My) of between about 30 and about 45 microns.
- 2. A mass of coating powder according to claim 1 wherein said Mx comprises:
- 100% smaller than about 88 microns, and having an Mv between about 30 and about 40 microns.
- 3. A mass of coating powder according to claim 2 wherein said Mx comprises:
- 10%-15% smaller than 15.56 microns and
- 4%-6% smaller than 11 microns, and
- having an Mv between about 35 and 36 microns.
- 4. A mass of coating powder according to claim 3 wherein said Mx comprises:
- 100% smaller than 88 microns,
- about 11.5% smaller than 15.56 microns and
- about 4.3% smaller than 11 microns,
- and an Mv of about 35.9.
- 5. A mass of coating powder according to claim 1 wherein the powder is a thermosetting resin composition.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present application is a continuation of our application Ser. No. 08/169,793 filed Dec. 20, 1993 now U.S. Pat. No. 5,552,191, which is in turn a continuation of our application Ser. No. 07/837,459 filed Feb. 14, 1992, now abandoned.
