Claims
- 1. A process for preparing an optically active compound of the formula ##STR127## or a racemic mixture of that compound and the enantiomer thereof, wherein R.sub.19 is hydrogen or alkyl of one to 4 carbon atoms, inclusive; wherein R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 taken together are --CH.sub.2 -C(CH.sub.3).sub.2 -CH.sub.2 --; and wherein indicates attachment to the cyclopropane ring in endo or exo configuration, which comprises reacting an optically active compound of the formula ##STR128## or a racemic mixture of that compound and the enantiomer thereof, wherein , R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are as defined above, with a compound of the formula ##STR129## wherein R.sub.19 is as defined above.
- 2. An optically active compound of the formula ##STR130## or a racemic mixture of that compound and the enantiomer thereof, wherein R.sub.19 is hydrogen or alkyl of one to 4 carbon atoms, inclusive; wherein R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 taken together are --CH.sub.2 -C(CH.sub.3).sub.2 -CH.sub.2 --; and wherein indicates attachment to the cyclopropane ring in endo or exo configuration.
