Claims
- 1. A circuit for producing an output signal of a state set in delayed response to a change in a state of an input signal, comprising:
- a first circuit node;
- a second circuit node, the output signal being developed across the first and second nodes;
- a current source;
- voltage source means;
- first means responsive to a control signal for coupling said voltage source means to said first circuit node through a resistance and through a capacitance that varies in accordance with the control signal;
- second means for capacitively and resistively coupling said voltage source means to said second circuit node; and
- switch means responsive to said input signal for selectively applying current from said current source to either one of said first and second circuit nodes and for switching application of said current from one of said first and second circuit nodes to another of said first and second circuit nodes in response to said change in a state of said input signal.
- 2. The circuit according to claim 1 wherein said first means comprises:
- a resistance element coupling said voltage source means to said first circuit node;
- a plurality of capacitance elements connected between said voltage source means and said first circuit node; and
- means responsive to the control signal for selectively disconnecting at least one of said capacitance elements from between said voltage source means and said first circuit node in response to said control signal.
- 3. A circuit for producing an output signal of state determined in delayed response to a change in a state of an input signal, comprising:
- a first circuit node;
- a second circuit node, the output signal being developed across the first and second nodes;
- a current source;
- a first voltage source resistively coupled to said first circuit node and resistively coupled to said second circuit node;
- a second voltage source for producing a voltage of variable magnitude;
- a first capacitance element capacitively coupling said second voltage source to said first circuit node, a capacitance of said first capacitance element varying according to a voltage across said first capacitance element;
- a second capacitance element capacitively coupling said second voltage source to said second circuit node, a capacitance of said second capacitance element varying according to a voltage across said second capacitance element; and
- first switch means responsive to said input signal for selectively connecting said current source to either one of said first and second circuit nodes and for switching connection of said current source from one of said first and second circuit nodes to another of said first and second circuit nodes in response to said change in a state of said input signal.
- 4. The circuit according to claim 3 wherein said first and second capacitance elements comprise gate to source capacitances of field effect transistors.
- 5. A triggerable delay circuit responsive to a trigger signal for producing an output signal of a constant state when said trigger signal is not asserted and of a state set in delayed response to a change in a state of an input signal when said trigger signal is asserted, comprising:
- a first circuit node;
- a second circuit node, the output signal being developed across the first and second nodes;
- a current source;
- a first voltage source;
- first means for resistively and capacitively coupling said first voltage source to said first circuit node;
- second means for resistively and capacitively coupling said first voltage source to said second circuit node; and
- switch means responsive to said input signal and to said trigger signal for continuously connecting said current source to said second circuit node when said trigger signal is not asserted, and for switching connection of said current source between said first and second circuit nodes in response to changes in a state of said input signal when said trigger signal is asserted.
- 6. A triggerable delay circuit responsive to a trigger signal for producing an output signal of a constant state when said trigger signal is not asserted and of a state set in delayed response to a change in a state of an input signal when said trigger signal is asserted, comprising:
- a first circuit node;
- a second circuit node, the output signal being developed across the first and second nodes;
- a current source;
- a first voltage source resistively coupled to said first circuit node and resistively coupled to said second circuit node;
- a second voltage source for producing a voltage of adjustable magnitude;
- a first capacitance element of capacitance varying according to a voltage across said first capacitance element;
- a second capacitance element of capacitance varying according to a voltage across said second capacitance element;
- means responsive to a control signal for selectively coupling said second voltage source to said first circuit node through said first capacitance element and to said second circuit node through said second capacitance element; and
- means responsive to said input signal and to said trigger signal for connecting said current source to said second circuit node when said trigger signal is not asserted, and for switching connection of said current source between said first and second circuit nodes in response to changes in a state of said input signal when said trigger signal is asserted.
